1. Safety of use

Read these guidelines carefully. Not following them may be dangerous or illegal.

—CHILDREN—

Product is not a toy. Keep the device, its accessories and packaging out of reach of  children. Plastic packaging may wrap around the child’s neck or be swallowed, resulting  in suffocation or choking.

—DO NOT RISK—

Do not use the device near flammable fabrics. Do not use the product with visible  mechanical damage. The product is not intended for use on animals.

—QUALIFIED SERVICE—

This product may only be repaired by qualified service personnel of the manufacturer or  by an authorised service centre. Repairing the device by an unqualified or unauthorized  service technician may result in damage to the device and void the warranty. The Kid’s Smartwatch manufacturer is not responsible for problems caused by unauthorized modifications to  the equipment made by the user.

—PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY DISABLED PEOPLE—

This device should not be operated by people (including children) with limited physical or  mental abilities, as well as by people with no earlier experience in operation of electronic  equipment. They may only use it under the supervision of persons responsible for their  safety after they have read and understood the instructions for safe use.

—WATER AND OTHER LIQUIDS—

Protect the device from water and other liquids. Avoid using the device in environments  with high humidity like kitchens or bathrooms. Water particles may cause moisture to  appear in the device, which adversely affects the electronics and may cause damage to  the equipment.

—SURROUNDINGS—

The device should not be used in dusty conditions. Connect the power supply cable of the  device in such manner that it cannot be damaged or endanger people or animals. Do not  expose the device to sunlight and do not use it or leave it in close proximity to heat generating devices (heaters, radiators etc.). Plastic parts may deform, which may affect  the operation of the device or cause it to break down completely.

—BATTERY—

Avoid exposing the battery to very high/low temperatures (10ºC – 45 ºC / 50ºF – 113ºF). Extreme temperatures may influence capacity and battery life. Avoid contact with liquids  and metal objects as it may cause partial or complete battery damage. The battery should  be used according to its purpose. Do not destroy, impair or throw the battery into flames  – it might be dangerous and may cause fire. Worn-out or impaired battery should be  placed in a dedicated container. Excessive charging the battery can cause damage.  Therefore do not charge longer than necessary. The battery in the device is not  replaceable by the user.

4. The use of the equipment

 4.1 Charging the battery

• On/Off/SOS button

The battery should be fully charged before the first use of product. Several charging and  discharging cycles may be necessary to achieve full battery capacity.

Avoid excessive battery discharge. This can damage the battery or shorten its service  life.

The device can heat up during charging. It is a regular occurrence and should not affect  the stability or performance of the device. Do not leave the device to be charged  unattended as this may result in fire, damage to the device or its surroundings etc.

To install the device, unplug the micro USB power cable from the left side of the device.  Connect the other end of the power supply to a USB power supply or, for example, a  socket on a computer, power bank, etc. (any of these power supply devices that are not  included in the set) that are supported by a 5 V ⎓ 1 A power supply or current. To check  the charging status of the device that has been bumped to wake up the screen, then slide  it to the screen. After disconnecting the power from the power source.

4.2 SIM card installation

The device requires the installation of a micro SIM card with active service for  making/receiving calls with PIN lock disabled. Suggested disabling voicemail. When  sending location information, the watch will need access to the mobile Internet, so it is worth  purchasing a minimum 1GB package. When using the watch, you may be charged network and  connection fees according to your operator’s tariff.

Always make sure your watch is turned off before inserting or removing the SIM card.  Never insert or remove a SIM card while the watch is on. Open the back cover of the  watch by gently prying it at the top and on the sides until the latches are unfastened. Then  remove the battery, taking care not to damage the battery cables. Remember its  arrangement. Open the micro SIM card protection by sliding it gently to the right, and  then insert the SIM card into the slot in a position such that the SIM card chip is facing up  towards the watch screen. Then close the lock by sliding it to the left. Place the batteries  in the watch in their original position and then close the back cover by tightening the  latches.

4.3 First start-up

After installing the SIM card in the watch and charging it, you can turn it on by pressing  and holding the power button.

After turning on, the watch will connect to the cellular network.

4.4 Device operation

The watch is operated via a touch screen. By sliding your finger on the screen, you switch  between individual functions and select a given function by pressing the screen.

Menu structure and function description:

• Dial – allows you to make a phone call by manually entering the number

• Phone book – the phone book gives access to 10 contacts defined using the application

• Camera – allows you to take a photo that will be saved in an album

• Photo – access to the last photo taken. Possibility to preview, send or delete it.  Each subsequent photo you take overwrites the previous one

• Match game – a simple mathematical game with three levels of difficulty

• Talk – allows you to send voice messages and receive text and voice messages

• Flashlight – allows you to turn on the flashlight built into the watch

• Device info – allows you to read the registration QR code for the device and the  QR code for the application4.5 Forever KidsCare app

The capabilities of the device can be extended  thanks to the Forever KidsCare application installed on a smartphone or tablet. The application can be downloaded by scanning the  QR code of the application on the packaging or in the device menu (Device info).

The application is designed for phones with Android 4.4 or later and iOS 14.0 or later.

The first time you launch the application, it will ask  you to register a new account or log in to an  existing one.

Then the app will ask you to add a watch. You will  need a registration QR code, which can be found  on a pendant by the watch, on the packaging or in the device menu (Device info). Give the watch a  name and choose your relationship with the watch  user. They will later be able to easily make video  calls to you or other people who have added the  watch in the app on their phone. After pairing the  first phone with the device, its user becomes an  administrator who can authorize the pairing of the  watch with subsequent phones. To do this, new  phones need to go through the registration and pairing process just like the first time. The  application will automatically send a request for authorization to the application on the  Administrator’s phone.

Home menu:

• Chat – send text and voice messages to your watch

• Remote photo – take photos using the watch’s built-in camera

• Map – check the current location of the watch

• History – see what route the watch user was following

• Geofence – set the zones that you will receive a notification after leaving

• Rewards – award points to the watch user

• Reject unknown calls – set whether the watch should reject calls from outside the list of  established contacts

• Alarms – set up to three different alarms in the  watch

• Message – check events related to the watch

• Find watch– Turn on a signal on your watch to help you find it

• Settings – Change detailed watch and app settings

Settings menu:

• SOS numbers – define up to 3 SOS numbers that the watch will be able to call when the multifunction button is held down. Each time you make an SOS call, an alert will be sent to the application

• Sound Guardian – allows you to listen to the watch’s surroundings

• Do Not Disturb – define up to 4 time periods in which the do not disturb mode  will be active on the watch, which blocks the watch user from accessing most of  its functions

• Tracking Frequency– define how the location of the device is determined

• SMS Alerts – set whether to receive SMS notifications about events related to  the watch

• Family Members – manage the list of family members connected to the watch

• Phone Book – manage contact list on the watch

• Time zone selection – set the time zone of the watch

• Language – Customize your watch language

• APN Settings – Configure data connection settings on your watch

• Disable functions – turn off the ability to dial numbers on the watch

• LBS – turn the watch’s location functions on and off

• Remote Shutdown – turn off the watch from the app

• Remote Restart – reset the watch from the app

5. Troubleshooting

If you have problems with the unit, please refer to the following tips.

The device does not  switch on

Check if the battery is charged.

The battery does not  charge despite being  connected to the power  supply unit.

Check that the magnetic charging USB cable is not damaged Check that the unit is properly connected to a functioning  power source.

Check that the power supply is functioning correctly. If it is  a power bank – make sure it is charged.

The data connection on  the watch is not

working

Make sure the SIM card has been installed correctly.

If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer’s service department.

6. Maintenance of the device

To extend the service life of the device:

• For cleaning use only a dry cloth. Never use any agent with a high concentration  of acids, alkalis or abrasives.

• Keep the device and its accessories out of reach of children.

• Avoid very high temperatures, for it can shorten the life of electric and electronic  components, melt the plastic parts and destroy the battery.

The packaging of the device can be

recycled in accordance with local  regulations.

7. Correct disposal of used equipment and battery The device is marked with a crossed-out garbage bin, in accordance with the  European Directive 2012/19/EU on used electrical and electronic Equipment  (Waste Electrical and Electronic equipment – WEEE). Products marked with this  symbol should not be disposed of or dumped with other household waste after a

period of use. The user is obliged to get rid of used electrical and electronic equipment  by delivering it to designated recycling point in which dangerous waste are being  recycled. Collecting this type of waste in designated locations, and the actual process of  their recovery contribute to the protection of natural resources. Proper disposal of used  electrical and electronic equipment is beneficial to human health and environment. To  obtain information on where and how to dispose of used electrical and electronic equipment in an environmentally friendly manner user should contact their local  government office, the waste collection point, or point of sale, where the equipment was  purchased.

According to the EU directive 2006/66/EC with changes contained in EU directive 2013/56/UE on the disposal of batteries, this product is marked with crossed-out garbage bin symbol. The symbol indicates that the batteries used in this product should not be disposed with regular household waste, but

treated according to the legal directives and local regulations. It is not allowed to dispose  of accumulators with unsorted municipal waste. Users of battery and accumulators must

use the available collection points of these items, which allows them to return, recycle  and disposal. Within the EU, the collection and recycling of batteries and accumulators is  a subject to separate procedures. To learn more about existing procedures of recycling  of batteries and accumulators please contact your local office or an institution for waste  disposal or landfill.

9. Warranty and service

The product is covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of sale of the product. If you  need to make a warranty claim, please contact the customer service hotline ((+48 71) 717  70 73) or the point of sale. The product submitted for a warranty claim should be  complete and preferably packed in its original packaging.
