HBO MaxTM bundles HBO content with your favorites from WarnerMedia’s vast library of shows and movies, as well as an extensive collection of new programming produced exclusively for HBO Max. With approximately 10,000 hours of exceptional content available at launch, there’s something for everyone.
How to get HBO Max
If your DIRECTV subscription includes HBO, you get access to HBO Max at no additional charge. HBO is included with DIRECTV PREMIER and LO MAXIMO packages.
To change your package or add HBO, sign in to your directv.com account and select My Programming to review package options.
Or, go to hbomax.com to subscribe to HBO Max directly. You’ll be charged separately for the service.
How to stream HBO Max
HBO Max is available on many popular streaming devices.

Sign in to HBO Max from a smartphone or tablet
- Open the HBO Max app.
- Choose SIGN IN WITH TV OR MOBILE PROVIDER.
- Select DIRECTV .
- Enter your directv.com user ID and password.
- Select Sign in.
- If it’s your first time signing in, create your HBO Max profile.
- Choose the watcher’s profile to start streaming.
Sign in to HBO Max from an AT &T TV device and other streaming devices (Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung TV, etc.)
- Open the app and select Sign In. You should see a 6-digit code on your screen.
- Go to hbomax.com/tvsignin from a web browser on your phone or computer.
- Enter the 6-digit code when prompted, and then select Next.
- Go to the app and choose Sign in with TV or Mobile provider.
- Select DIRECTV .
- Enter your directv.com user ID and password.
- Select Sign in.
- If it’s your first time signing in, create your HBO Max profile.
- Choose your profile to start streaming.
