Will I void the warranty by opening or upgrading my components of my Razer

Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 by myself?

Any damages or issues caused during installation or as a result of incompatible parts being used is not covered under the warranty and may void the warranty coverage.

How do I request or purchase replacement parts for my Razer product?

Razer Systems must be repaired at an Authorized Razer Service Center. You can contact us to arrange a repair.

What is the difference between the Chroma Version and the original

version?

Original Razer products have Green LEDs; the new Chroma version has Chroma LEDs that give 16.8 Million different color choices.

Note: This only applies to Razer products that feature LED lighting.

How do I replace the battery in my Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX

1060?

Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 batteries should be replaced by an authorized Razer Repair Center. Should you feel your battery is defective and needs replacing, contact the Razer Support team and we will be happy to assist you.

Does the Solid State Drive (SSD) of the Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel

7700HQ-GTX 1060 support TRIM?

Yes, the Razer Blade’s SSD supports TRIM. It optimizes the performance and prolongs the life of your SSD.

I put my Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 to sleep by closing

the cover during boot up. Upon opening the unit, the screen is blank. How can I fix this?

If you experience this problem, wait a moment for the light on the keyboard to go off. Then, press the power switch to wake up the unit.

My internet or WiFi connection indicates that I am connected to a network

but I am unable to connect to the internet. What should I do?

Most modems have an indicator that shows if it is connected to the internet. Check if your modem is connected to the internet. If your modem does indicate that you are connected to the internet, try restarting your modem.

If the issue still persists, contact your local internet provider to ensure that the connection is stable.

What do the different colors on my status indicator mean?

The front LED indicator shines on only when the lid is closed, and the power button indicator shines on when the lid is open.

White – Sleep mode
Green – On
Dim Red – Low Battery (10% left)
Bright Red – Lower Battery (3% left)

Note: The status indicator is not an HDD indicator.

Can I use third party power supply adapters for my Razer Blade laptop?

We only recommend using Razer power supplies with the Razer Blade. Third-party adapters have not been tested to meet our standards and may lead to damage to the system. You can purchase replacement or spare AC adapters from our Razer Store.

When playing CPU-intensive games, my Razer Blade 14″ (2017) Intel 7700HQ-

GTX 1060 reports high CPU temperature/overheating. Is this normal?

While running CPU intensive games, periodic temperature spikes of the CPU can be expected. This is normal and can be anticipated at times of intense gaming.

My Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 became unstable after I

installed Comodo Internet Security / Comodo Firewall.

Currently, there are a few known compatibility issues with Comodo applications. Here are a few reported issues when Comodo applications are present on a system:

The keyboard or trackpad won’t respond, intermittently.
A blank desktop screen is shown immediately after the user boots to Windows OS
Intermittent BSOD related to DPC_Watchdog_Violation
The system is unable to boot-up after installing Comodo Internet Security/Comodo Firewall applications.

To ensure that you will not encounter the issues above, we advise the users not to install Comodo applications at this time. If you have installed the applications, remove the following applications through Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel immediately:

Comodo Firewall
GeekBuddy
PrivDog

Can I dual boot, partition, or otherwise modify the Blade’s operating

system?

The Blade is designed for compatibility with the as-shipped OS. Should you want to install or modify the OS, format the boot drive then install your preferred OS. Razer Warranty and support is only available for the as-shipped OS.

After I updated to Windows 8.1, why does my mouse click no longer

functioning well when I’m holding down a letter on my keyboard?

Does the Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 support Intel WiDi?

The Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 features a Killer n1202 Wireless card and therefore, WiDi is not supported, as it requires an Intel wireless adapter.

Does the Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 support 3D?

No. The Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 does not support 3D display modes.

Does the Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 support Miracast?

At this time, the Razer Blade 14” (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 does not support Miracast.

Why is my Razer Blade 14″ (2013) displaying a different effect than I had

previously set when I’m launching a game?

You may be experiencing one of our official Chroma integrations in your game. You can check out the Chroma Workshop for more information on supported games, and tier included effects. If you do not wish to experience this effect and would rather use your personal settings, simply navigate to the “Chroma Apps” tab in Synapse and disable the “Chroma Apps” setting.

Why doesn’t my Razer Blade come with a Windows OS CD?

The Razer Blade 14″ (2017) Intel 7700HQ-GTX 1060 does not feature an optical drive. Everything needed to restore your system is on a recovery partition.
