J-TECH DIGITAL JTECH-DE5NDI 1080P HDMI Livestream Decoder

Introduction

JTECH-DE5NDI is a decoder that converts RTSP/RTMP/HTTP/HLS/UDP/RTP/SRT to HDMI/VGA/ SID/CVBS video signal output, which is widely used in education, monitoring, conference, radio & television, entertainment, and other fields.

Hardware Description

Accessing the Web Interface

  1. Connect the power supply to the decoder
  2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the decoders “LAN” port to your network switch
  3. Connect a HDMI/VGA/CVBS cable from the decoder to a display
  4. Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.1.169 in the address field. This will prompt you to enter the username and password. (Username: admin | Password: admin)
  5. You can now see the decoder’s status information, and set parameters for various settings

Note: If the IP scheme of your network does not match the default IP scheme of the decoder, you won’t be able to log in to the decoder’s web interface. At this point, you would need to change the IP of the decoder by following these steps:

  1. Connect the decoder to a PC via Ethernet cable
  2. Assign your PC a static IP address of “192.168.1.11”, and a subnet mask “255.255.255.0”. To do so, go to your Ethernet settings > Change adapter options > Right click on your wired ethernet adapter > select properties > Double click “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” > Enter the IP address field with “192.168.1.11” and Subnet mask “255.255.255.0”. Press OK twice to save the configuration
  3. Open a web browser and enter the decoders default IP address “192.168.1.169”. Type Username: admin | Password: admin as the credentials
  4. Once in the web interface of the decoder, click on System setting > Network setting. Here, you can modify the IP address of the decoder according to your network. Once done, you can now plug the decoder to your modem/router/switch via Ethernet, and be able to access the web interface from any device that’s on the same network

Playing a Video

  1. Go to “Address setting → decode wndnum → channel1 addr → Input
    RTSP/RTMP/HTTP/HLS/UDP/RTP/SRT URL”

  2. To check the status of the channel, go to “Status → Channel1 → Check whether the status is normal”

  3. After checking the status to be normal, the video feed should now be available

Finding the ONVIF device RTSP URL

  1. Go to “Address setting → ONVIF device → ONVIF list → Select item”

  2. Input username: admin and password: admin → Click Get RTSP URLJ-TECH-DIGITAL-JTECH-DE5NDI-1080P-HDMI-Livestream-Decoder-5

  3. Copy the URL → channel1 addr → paste the URL

Finding the NDI device play URL

  1. Go to “Address setting → NDI device → NDI list → Select item”

Adjusting Channel Layout
To adjust the channel layout, go to “Advance setting → Channel Layout → Set up 4 screens or another layout”J-TECH-DIGITAL-JTECH-DE5NDI-1080P-HDMI-

Rebooting the Decoder
To reboot the decoder, go to “System setting → Reboot device → Click Reboot”13. Factory Reset

  1. Go to “System setting → Reset device → Click Reset”

  2. With the decoder powered on, press and hold the reset button for more than 8 seconds until the panel LED indicators are off

Common Issues
If the display has no signal output, check to see if the channel status within the decoders Status tab is normal. Also, please check to see whether the decoding address is correct and the decoder network can access the address.

Warranty

If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials of workmanship, our company (referred to as “the warrantor”) will, for the length of the period indicated as below, “Parts (1) Year, Labor (90) Days”, which starts with the date of original purchase (“Limited Warranty period”), at its option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, or (b) replace it with a new or a refurbished product. The decision to repair or replace will be made by the warrantor. During the “Labor” limited warranty period, there will be no charge for labor. During the “Parts” warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. You must mail-in your product during the warranty period. This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and only covers products purchased as new. A purchase receipt or other proof of original purchase date is required for Limited Warranty service.

Mail-In Service

When shipping the unit, carefully pack and send it prepaid, adequately insured, and preferably in the original carton. Include a letter detailing the complaint and provide a day time phone and/or email address where you can be reached.

Limited Warranty Limits and Exclusions

This Limited Warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in material or workmanship, and DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The Limited Warranty ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages which occurred in shipment, or failures which are caused by products not supplied by warrantor, or failures which result from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty installation, set-up adjustments, misadjustment of consumer controls, improper maintenance, power line surge, lightning damage, modification, or service by anyone other than a Factory Service center or other Authorized Servicer, or damage that is attributed to acts of God.

THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS LISTED UNDER “LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE”. THE WARRANTOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTAIL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. (As examples, this excludes damages for lost time, cost of having someone remove or re-install an installed unit if applicable, travel to and from the service, loss of or damage to media or images, data or other recorded content. The items listed are not exclusive, but are for illustration only.) PARTS AND SERVICE, WHICH ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

Extended Warranty

With the registration of supported J-Tech Digital products, you extend the current warranty by 6 months. This extension is added to the warranty that starts at the purchase date of the device supported. Total product warranty with the extended period will equate to a total of 18 months of warranty from the date of purchase.
For extended warranties to be accepted, all warranty extensions must be claimed within 30 days of purchasing the eligible J-Tech Digital product. Extensions attempted to be claimed outside of the 30-day window will not be accepted. Visit www.jtechdigital.com to register your extended warranty.
