- Question: Why does my unit randomly shut down?
Answer:
There may be different reasons why your heater has shut down. See below for some things to check:
Be sure it is plugged in and that the electrical outlet is working.
Check for any obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn the heater OFF and unplug it.
Allow the heater to cool completely, then remove the obstruction. Wait at least 10 minutes, then re-plug the heater in.
Check your Thermostat Control setting. The unit may simply be off because you have reached your desired heat setting.
One of your safety features may have been activated. Read your Owner’s Manual to see which safety features your device is equipped with.
- Question: Why does my unit continue to blow air after the heat level’s been reached or it’s been turned off?
Answer:
In order to continue circulating heated air, once our heater fans reach the desired heat level or temperature selected the fan will continue to blow heated air.
After pressing the power button to turn off, the unit will continue to blow air to cool down the internal components.
- Question: The heater was running fine and now won’t run, what should I do?
Answer:
This heater has a tip-over switch that will shut the heater off when not level. Be sure that the heater is on a flat surface and that tip-over switch is not engaged on the bottom. Because heaters are running at such high wattage, inconsistencies in power could trip an internal breaker. Try unplugging the unit and leaving it unplugged for about 20 minutes. This should reset the unit. Also, if there is more than one heater connected on the same circuit in the house, it could trip the circuit breaker and shut the unit and other appliances connected on that circuit.
