If you are experiencing leaking you may be holding your machine in an
incorrect orientation or have a full dirty water tank, follow these steps to resolve:

Ensure your machine is always in a horizontal or upright position

Where is the machine leaking from?
- Dirty Water Tank or Vents > Turn machine off
- Formula Tank or Front of the Machine > Go to Suction Lens and Formula Tank

Make sure you are using the proper BISSELL formula > Go to Parts & Supplies

Sit machine upright on a flat surface

Press dirty water tank release latch and pull the tank out
-
Open dirty water tank plug and empty into a sink or toilet

Fill dirty water tank with water
-
Secure plug back into place
-
Check Dirty Water Tank for cracks, damage, or warping
- If Dirty Water Tank is damaged, order a new one > Go to Parts & Supplies

Empty Dirty Water Tank and secure Plug back into place

Put Dirty Water Tank back on machine aligning the bottom of tank with the hook on the machine

Rotate tank forward until latch has clicked into place
-
Put machine down on a flat surface such as a table or counter > Turn machine on
- Is machine still leaking?
- No > Great! Glad we could get you back to cleaning!
- Yes > Let machine run for 1 minute or until machine has stopped leaking > Turn machine off > Turn on again to see if leaking persists
- Does the issue persist?
- No > Great! Glad we could get you back to cleaning!
- Yes > Go to Suction Lens and Formula Tank
- Does the issue persist?
