Unplug machine

Empty dirt tank by pressing the release button on top of the carrying handle and pulling off machine

Separate the lower portion of the dirt tank by pressing the latch on the upper portion on front of machine
- Lower portion can be hand washed
- Allow to dry completely before reassembling
- Clean the screen of upper portion to remove any debris

Remove the pre-motor filter located behind the dirt tank by pushing the tab at the top of clear door
- Wash the filter with water and a mild detergent
- Allow to dry completely before reassembling

With the dirt tank removed, open the filter cover by pulling it up and unscrew the post-motor filter

Tap this filter against a waste bin to remove any excess dust or debris

Remove the upholstery hose from the back of the vacuum, pushing in the Hose Release on the left and pulling the hose up from the hose holder on the right
- Run a broom handle through the hose to remove any clogs

Remove the lower hose by unscrewing the 3 Screws that hold on the clear plastic window
- Pull lower hose down flat and run a broom handle through to remove any clogs

Check the Air Flow Diverter inside the clear window of lower hose
- The diverter should be to the right for suction from the hose and to the left for suction from the floor

If the vacuum continues to not suction, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
