Check the pre and post motor filters for debris – dirty filters can restrict airflow

The pre-motor filters located in slid out tray under dirt cup can be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent
-
The post-motor pleated filter on side of machine cannot be washed – tap over trash bin to remove debris or replace with new filter

A clogged hose may also cause the machine to sound abnormal
- To clear upper hose, detach hose from machine and insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through the opposite end
- To clear lower hose, remove screw from left side of the lower hose on back of the machine and straighten this section of hose by pulling it down
- Push broomstick through lower hose to unclog
- The access plate can also be removed to provide a better view of the lower hose
