Make sure the Brush On/Off foot pedal, if it is down the brush will not spin

Unplug the vacuum and turn the vacuum over so the Brush Roll is facing up

Remove the 7 screws that hold on the Brush Roll Access plate
-
Pull brush straight out and inspect the brush and belt for damage
-
Brush should spin easily
-
Belt should be intact without any tearing
-
If part is damaged, it will need to be replaced
-

To replace the belt, wrap the belt around the brush between the brush guards, the flat area without any bristles
-
Run the belt on top of the metal and yellow plastic Brush Switch and under the clear plastic to wrap around metal motor pulley
-
Place the brush end caps in their corresponding slots and push the brush down into the vacuum
- Spin the brush by hand to center the belt
-
If the Brush continues not to rotate, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
