• Unplug machine

  • Empty dirt container by sliding the Lock ‘n Seal Lever to the unlock position

    • Pull dirt container straight out of machine

  • Take out inner cyclone from upper tank by twisting to the left and pulling down

    • The cyclone may be washed with a mild detergent
    • Allow to air dry completely (24-48 hours) before replacing in machine

  • Remove foam pre-motor filter located in slide out tray located below dirt container

    • Clean with water and mild detergent
    • Allow to air dry completely (24-48 hours) before replacing in machine

  • Take out the white pleated post-motor filter located beneath foam filter

    • Post-motor filter is NOT washable and must be replaced when dirty

  • Recline handle and turn machine over so bottom is facing up

  • Remove the five screws on the brush cover and lift off

  • Grasp brush at both ends and lift out of machine

  • Inspect brush and belt for damage

    • Brush should spin easily by hand
    • Belt should be intact
    • If parts are damaged, replacement

  • Clean debris from brush, brush ends, and belt areas

  • Reassemble brush area and test machine again

  • If machine is still loud, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
