The brush will not rotate unless the brush button is ON and machine is reclined

If something becomes lodged in the brush area and brush shuts off, turn off the machine unplug from outlet, and remove obstruction
- The brush will automatically reset when the machine is plugged in and turned back on

Unplug machine and turn over so brush is facing up

Remove 6 screws from access plate and lift off

Grasp brush at both ends and pull out of machine
- Clean debris from brush and brush ends
- If brush housing of machine is damaged, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us

Check brush
- Brush should spin freely by hand
- Belt should be intact with no wear marks
- If part is damaged, it will need to be replaced

Check belt
- Belt should be free of cracking or tearing
- Belt should not have any melted or burnt spots
- Belt should have some elasticity

To reinstall parts, place one end of belt around motor pulley and the other end around brush between belt guards
- Pull brush into place and slide ends down into slots on sides
- Turn brush several times by hand to center belt
- Replace brush access cover and tighten 6 screws
- If the brush is still not turning, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
