Precautions for installation

| Warming : It is A-level products, which might cause wireless interference in the living. Environment. Some practical measures might be taken to deal with the interference under the condition
---|---
| Note : Please obey the precautions below to avoid product damaged and personal injury caused by improper using

Precautions for installation:
  • Please keep the power off during the whole installation.
  • Please provide the power which consistent with the power marked because the switch only works well under the correct power.
  • Please confirm that it will not cause the overload on the circuit and the power before energizing the switch, to avoid affecting the normal working on the switch even unnecessary damage. Please do not open the shell of the switch when it is
  • working, to avoid the danger of the electric shock; do not open it yourself even if it is not energized.
Precautions for installation environment

Temperature and humidity

  • To guarantee the long-life stable working of the switch, please keep the stable temperature and humidity of the environments.
  • It will cause the leakage of insulation materials, deformation even metal shedding to corrosion when under the too high or too low humidity.
  • It will accelerate the aging process of insulation materials, seriously affect the service life of the device when the temperature is too high

The temperature and humidity for normal working and storage:

Environments Temperature Relative humidity
Working environment -15C–55C 10%– 90%RH
Storage environment – 40C– 70C 5%–90%RH

Indoor dust proof

It will cause electrostatic adsorption and poor contact of the metal connector when the dust is attached to the surface of the switch. Some measures have been taken on anti-static of the device itself, but fatal damage can happen on the electronic component of the inside circuit board when the static is beyond a certain intensity.
To avoid static on the normal working, please pay attention to the below:

Remove the dust regularly, keep the air clean indoor.
Confirm the well connection of the device, ensure the smooth transfer of the static.

Electromagnetic interference

It will affect the capacitance, inductance, and other electronic components inside the device by capacitive coupling, inductive coupling, impedance coupling, etc.
To reduce the adverse effects caused by electronic magnetic interference, please pay attention to the below.
The necessary measures of anti-power grid interference should be taken with the power system.
The switch 2 be kept off the high frequency and high-power devices, etc.
The measures for electromagnetic shielding should be taken when necessary.

Demand for Lightning Protection

It will cause the fatal damage to the electronic device by the split-second powerful current when the lightning occurs. To achieve the better effect of lightning protection, please pay attention to the below:

  • Confirm the rack with good grounding.
  • Confirm the power outlet with good grounding.
  • Reasonable wiring to avoid lightning internal induction.
  • Recommend usage of signal lightning arrester when wiring outdoor

Connection of the hardware

| Please confirm that the device is equipped with the PoE if the switch is passive; at the same time, please confirm the voltage of the access device is matched with the switch’s, otherwise it will burn the access device.

Connect to the RJ45 Port
  1. Connect one end of the cable to the switch and the other end to the corresponding device, as shown as illustration 2

    illustration 2. Device connection

  2. Please check the condition of the corresponding indicator when electrified. It means the connection works well when the indicator is ON; blocked when it is OFF, please check the wiring and confirm the corresponding device start up

Connect to the Power Cable
  1. Confirm the consistency of the chosen power and the power marked on the switch.
  2. Connect the switch with the outlet by the original power cable, as shown as illustration5-2
