Scope and Specification

This product is designed for temporary protection of hard surfaces from paint, dirt debris and damage from heavy footfall and can be used on flat surfaces or stairs. Suitable surfaces include flooring, worktops and sills. Any other application beyond the conditions established for use will be considered misuse.
Draper Tools accepts no responsibility for improper use of this product.

Important: This product is intended for temporary use and is not suitable for permanent application over extended periods. DO NOT use this product on carpeted surfaces.

Notes on Use

Important: Read these instructions in full before using this product. Failure to adhere to these instructions may result in damage to the covered surface.
Important: Responsibility for determining the suitability of this product for the surface lies with the customer. If you are in any way unsure, contact Draper Tools for support.

  • This product is suitable for use on hard surfaces ONLY.
    – This product may be used on flooring, worktops and other surfaces.
    – DO NOT use this product on carpeted or fabric areas.

  • ALWAYS ensure that the surface to be covered is clean, dust-free, dry and sound before use.
    – Draper Tools recommends vacuuming or mopping the area to be covered before use.
    Important: Allow the surface to dry thoroughly before application.
    – Use on surfaces that are not “sound” may result in damage to the surface or any finishes or coatings previously applied.

  • DO NOT use this product in outdoor or high-humidity environments.

  • DO NOT use this product on surfaces that have been recently painted, varnished or polished, or cleaned or treated with any substance other than water.
    – See the treatment manufacturer’s information for the required resting before applying the film.

  • DO NOT use this product on surfaces that bleed oil or plasticisers.

  • DO NOT switch on any under-floor heating beneath the covered surface while the product is in place.

  • Draper Tools strongly recommends testing the product on a small, discreet area for 48 hours before full use to assess the risk of damage to the surface.

  • This product may become slippery when wet.
    – Clear up any spillages or puddling immediately and allow the film to dry or
    replace the film before continuing work

  • In some circumstances, the product may leave a sticky residue on the covered surface.
    – Use warm, soapy water or suitable hard surface cleaning products to remove any transferred adhesive.

  • To reduce the risk of damage or residue, remove the product from the surface after no more than four weeks under normal conditions.
    – In areas that experience significantly increased footfall or ambient temperatures of greater than 22°C, remove the product from the surface after no more than one week.

Important: ALWAYS ensure that the product is firmly secured before working near the surface.

Application Instructions

Important: Read these instructions in full before use. Test the product on a small and discreet area for 48 hours before full application.
Important: For best results, use this product within 12 months of purchase; performance may be reduced after this time.

  1. Remove the outer packaging.
  2. Place the product onto the surface in the direction that it will be applied and unwind the film approximately 300mm.
  3. Smooth out the unwound area and ensure that it is stuck securely to the surface with minimal air bubbles.
  4. Slowly push the roll forward, ensuring it travels in a straight line, and smooth the film against the surface using your hands, feet or a soft brush to remove any air bubbles.
  5. Cut the film to size using a sharp knife or scissors, taking care not to scratch or damage the surrounding surfaces.
  6. Remove the film from the surface within four weeks of application, or within one week if footfall is particularly heavy or temperatures exceed 22°C.
  7. Clean any sticky residue from the surface using warm, soapy water or suitable hard floor cleaning products.

Important: Single use only. DO NOT reuse film once it has been removed from the surface.

Storage and Disposal

  •  Store this product in a clean and dry environment. out of reach of children.
  • Store this product in ambient temperatures of 5-25°C.
  • Dispose of this product responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.
