- This device is intended for indoor use only.
- Do not expose this device to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or other containers with moisture on or near the device. If moisture does get in or on the device, immediately remove it from its power source and allow it to fully dry before reapplying power.
- Do not touch the device or any connected cables with wet hands.

- Do not expose this device to excessively high temperatures. Do not place it in, on, or near a heat source, such as a fireplace, stove, radiator, etc. Do not leave it in direct sunlight.
- Do not place or install this device in an area where it can be exposed to excessive amounts of dust, humidity, oil, smoke, or combustible vapors.
- Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water.
- This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or modify this device.
INTRODUCTION
Besides providing the hardware inputs for your microphones or instruments,
audio interfaces are critical for improving the sound of your recordings. Not
only will you achieve better sound, you’ll also be able to record multiple
tracks at once, allowing for collaboration with others or true stereo
recordings. The Stage Right™ STi12 USB Audio
Recording Interface does all of the above and then some.
Studio quality recording has never been as accessible.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Front Panel

MIC GAIN1: Controls the input volume of MIC 1 INPUT. The LED around the base of the knob illuminates when the signal is being clipped.

GAIN2: Controls the input volume of INPUT2. The LED around the base of the knob illuminates when the signal is being clipped.

LED: The LED illuminates when power is applied via the USB connection.

MIC 1 INPUT: Combination 1/4″ TRS/XLR jack for connecting a condenser or dynamic microphone.

+48V: Switches +48V phantom power on or off. Phantom power is on when the button is depressed.

INPUT2: 1/4″ TRS instrument/line input for connecting an instrument level or line level device.

LINE/INST: Switches INPUT2 to accept a line level or instrument level input.

DIRECT MONITOR: Switches direct monitoring on or off. When direct monitoring is on, you can hear the instrument and microphone inputs in your headphones.

HEADPHONES: 1/4″ TRS jack for connecting headphones.

MONITOR: Master control for adjusting the input and output monitoring levels.
Rear Panel

K-SLOT: Kensington Security Slot™ for use with a security lock to prevent theft. Lock not included.

USB: USB connector for connecting the device to your computer using the included USB cable. The device receives all the power it needs from the USB connection.

PHONE: 3.5mm TRS connector for connecting a phone, mp3 player, or other audio device using the included 3.5mm TRRS audio cable.

LINE OUTPUTS: Two balanced 1/4″ TRS jacks for connecting powered speakers or an amplifier.
INSTALLATION
Perform the following steps to connect the USB Audio Recording Interface with your computer.
- Place the device on a flat surface near your computer.
- Rotate the MIC GAIN1, GAIN2, and MONITOR knobs fully counterclockwise to the minimum position.
- Place the +48V switch in the off position (out).
- Ensure that your computer is powered on.
- Open your web browser and navigate to www.monoprice.com. Type 625909 in the search bar, then hit ENTER. Go to the bottom of the page and download the drivers zip file.
- Extract the zip file, then install the drivers for your operating system.
- Plug one end of the included USB cable into the USB port on the device, then plug the other end into an available USB port on your computer. The LED on the front panel will illuminate.
- Open your computer’s audio interface and ensure that STi12 USB is selected as the audio input and output device.
Congratulations, your USB Audio Recording Interface is installed and ready for use!
OPERATION GUIDELINES
- To prevent transient spikes from damaging your equipment, always turn the two MIC GAIN1, GAIN2, and MONITOR knobs fully counterclockwise to the minimum position before making or breaking any connections.
- Even if using a condenser microphone that requires +48V phantom power, ensure that the +48V switch is in the off position (out) before plugging a microphone into the MIC 1 INPUT jack. Turn on +48V phantom power only when a condenser microphone is connected.
- The PHONE jack on the rear panel allows you to play music from a mobile device, so you can play or sing along with audio tracks for recording or practice purposes.
