Do not plug in until instructed.

– To reduce the risk of electric shock, serious injury or death:
- Liquids exposed to electricity pose an immediate risk of electric shock. Do not use this unit if the power control is damaged, wet, in contact with or near spilled water or any liquid. Do not use the unit if the button activation switch has been exposed to water or any liquid. Do not handle the plug or remote control with wet hands.
- To prevent suffocation, keep plastic bags away from children.
- Keep cord out of the reach of children and pets that may cause damage.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or service the product, pump or motor; no serviceable parts are inside. Contact your La-Z-Boy® dealer for service.

– To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death:

Keep upholstery away from flames or lit cigarettes. Upholstery may burn rapidly, with toxic gas and thick smoke. Fires that begin elsewhere in a home may spread and involve upholstery. For your safety, always use a properly installed smoke detector with working batteries.

Disconnect the electrical plug from the outlet before cleaning, moving, servicing, or when not in use for an extended period of time.

Sit down in the unit slowly. To avoid tip over, do not throw your weight against the back of the unit.

Plug directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord, adapter, or surge protector.

Keep hands, fingers, and body parts away from the mechanism. To reduce the risk of head entrapment and other injuries, keep children and pets away from openings and moving parts in and around furniture.

Only the occupant should operate the unit. Never attempt to open the legrest by pulling on it.

Do not stand, sit, or place extra weight on the arms, back, or open leg rest.

To safely exit the unit, bring the back upright and close the largest.

Do not use this product if it is damaged. Do not use attachments or substitute parts.

Before moving the product, disconnect the electrical plug from the wall outlet and secure
the mechanism to prevent unexpected opening or movement. Never move the product by the mechanism, leg rest, handle, reclining back, or legs. -
This product is not intended to be used as a bed. Do not sleep in for an extended period.

Closely supervise children and disabled persons using this product.

Never operate the unit with a damaged power supply, electrical cord, plug, or connector.
Check the condition of the power supplies, electrical cords, plugs, and connectors often. -
Do not place the cord under the carpet or in a location where it could become worn.

Do not allow the electrical cord to be pinched anywhere.

Keep the electrical cord away from heat sources.

Do not use this product where the cord may be a trip hazard.

This product is intended for indoor residential use only.

Users of medical devices should contact their health care provider before using this product. Do not use this product if you have poor circulation, are immobile, or cannot sense heat, except as directed by your health care provider.

Do not use this product where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

Unplug the power cord immediately if you detect strange odors or fumes coming from the unit.

The PowerRecline Designer’s Choice Classics units are intended for a single occupant not exceeding 300 pounds. Do not operate the unit with more than one occupant in or on any part of the unit.
NOTICE
— To reduce the risk of product damage:
- To prevent damage to the power supply, do not plug in until instructed.
- After 1 minute of continuous operation, allow the back recline and leg rest extension features to rest for 9 minutes.

Back Assembly:
**WARNING
– To reduce the risk of serious injury:**
- Do not operate the unit until the back is installed and locked.
Install the back

Align the brackets on the back with the brackets on the body (FIGURE 1).
• The back brackets may be located on the outside or inside of the back assembly. -
Lower the back onto the body, making sure the back and body brackets are completely engaged.

Push the locking levers down to lock the brackets (FIGURE 2).
• If you are unable to install the back properly, contact your La-Z-Boy® dealer for assistance.

Warranty Information:
La-Z-Boy provides the following warranties, subject to the stated limitations.
LIMITED WARRANTY – FABRICS
Fabrics are warranted for one (1) year against seam failure, fabric separation
and nap loss. Pilling, dye lot match, and fading are not covered. Labor: One
(1) year.
LIMITED WARRANTY – LEATHER
Leather parts are warranted for one (1) year against manufacturing or material
defects. No two pieces of leather are alike. Nature itself has worked into the
texture certain natural markings that are not to be considered defects. A
professional upholstery furniture cleaner should be consulted when cleaning is
required. Labor: One (1) year.

Improper cleaning/treatment or application of treatment voids your
warranty.
LIMITED WARRANTY – SEAT CUSHIONS
Standard foam cushions have a Limited Warranty for one (1) year.
ComfortCore® seat cushions, featured on La-Z-Boy Premier seating, have a three
(3) year Limited Warranty.
ComfortCore® GEL seat cushions, available as an upgrade on La-Z-Boy Premier
seating, have a five (5) year Limited Warranty.
Labor for attached seat cushions is one (1) year; warranty does not cover the
cost of labor for loose seat cushion
LIMITED WARRANTY – ACCENT PILLOWS
Accent pillows are warranted for one (1) year (excluding pillows purchased in
the Decorative Pillow Program, which do not carry a warranty).
LIMITED WARRANTY – PARTS
Certain parts are warranted against manufacturing and material defects, as
shown below.
Labor for the most part warranties: One (1) year. What is covered:
- Frames and wood bases: Lifetime of unit
- Springs: Lifetime of unit
- Recliner mechanisms: Lifetime of unit
- Decorative show wood: One (1) year
LIMITED WARRANTY – ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
Electric motors and electrical systems have a three (3) year Limited Warranty.
Labor: One (1) year.
LIMITATIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL WARRANTIES
ALL WARRANTIES ARE TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASERS FROM AUTHORIZED DEALERS ONLY.
WARRANTIES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.
ALL WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO MANUFACTURING AND MATERIAL DEFECTS THAT APPEAR
UNDER NORMAL INDOOR RESIDENTIAL USE. ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN
APPLY. WARRANTIES ARE FOR REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR SUBSTITUTION ONLY, IN
LA-Z-BOY’S SOLE DISCRETION. REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
LA-Z-BOY WILL PAY REASONABLE AND CUSTOMARY RATES FOR LABOR DURING THE PERIOD
OF THE LABOR WARRANTY. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LABOR COSTS AFTER THE
STATED LABOR TIME PERIOD.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HANDLING FEES, IN-HOME INSPECTION FEES, AND
TRANSPORTATION OF PRODUCTS TO AND FROM YOUR DEALER.
WARRANTIES ARE VOIDED BY EVIDENCE OF EXCESSIVE SOILING, IMPROPER CLEANING OR
TREATMENT, ABUSE, ABNORMAL USE, OR USE CONTRARY TO THE ADVISORIES OR
INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED HEREIN. WARRANTIES DO NOT APPLY TO PRODUCTS USED FOR
RENTAL, BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL, OR OTHER NON-RESIDENTIAL USES.
THESE WARRANTIES ARE YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AND NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLY. IN NO EVENT WILL
LA-Z-BOY BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF IT HAD
REASON TO KNOW IN ADVANCE THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE. THESE WARRANTIES
GIVE YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM
JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OF DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS AND
LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN THE EVENT THE WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS DO NOT
APPLY TO YOU, THEN, WHERE LEGALLY PERMISSIBLE, SUCH WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND NO WARRANTIES APPLY AFTER THAT PERIOD.
CLAIMS
To make a claim under this warranty, please contact the authorized dealer from
whom you made your purchase. (If your original dealer is not available, please
contact another authorized dealer with your proof of purchase.) La-Z-Boy
products may not be altered by any person, dealer, or company without the
express written authorization of La-Z-Boy.
If you feel, after presenting your warranty claim to your dealer, that it has
