It also features a 4 band EQ which is a must to acquire the tone you need and want. The added feature of the AC50 is having a Balanced and XLR mic input which makes this a perfect amplifier for small venues and events and the addition of a digital reverb. 1. TRS Microphone Input
This is where you can plug a microphone into the amplifier using a 1/4″ TRS connection. TRS stands for Tip-Ring-Sleeve and is also referred to as a “Balanced” cable. Some microphones have this connection on one end, and an XLR on the other.

  2. XLR Microphone Input
This is where you can plug in an XLR microphone lead to connect a microphone to the amplifier.

  3. Microphone Channel Volume
This knob controls the volume of the microphone signal. As it’s turned clockwise towards 10, the volume of the microphone will increase.

  4. Guitar Input
This is where you plug in your guitar.

  5. Guitar Channel Volume
This knob controls the volume of your guitar. As it’s turned clockwise towards 10, the volume of your guitar signal will increase.

  6. Bass EQ Control
Controls the low-end frequencies of the guitar tone. If you increase the bass by turning the knob clockwise, your guitar tone will sound full and boom-y. As you reduce the bass, by turning the knob anti-clockwise, the guitar tone becomes thinner, but also sharper and will cut through the mix.

  7. Mid Frequency Selector
This knob allows you to choose the frequency that is affected by the knob labelled 8 above.

  8. Mid EQ Control
This knob controls the level of the frequency chosen by the knob labelled 7. As its moved clockwise to the right, the level is boosted, making the selected frequency louder. As it’s moved to the left, the level is lowered, making the selected frequency quieter.

  9. Treble EQ Control
This knob controls the amount of high frequencies in your guitar tone. As it’s turned clockwise towards the right, the amount of treble will increase. As it’s turned anti-clockwise to the left, the amount of treble will decrease.

  10. Chorus On/Off Switch
This switch allows you to turn on and turn off the built-in Chorus effect. If the button is pushed in, it will turn on the Chorus. If it’s not pushed in, the Chorus will be turned off.

  11. Chorus Speed Control
This controls the speed at which the Chorus functions. As the knob is turned clockwise, the Chorus modulation speed will increase.

  12. Chorus Depth Control
This controls the depth of the chorus modulation effect. As the knob is turned clockwise, the depth increases, which results in a very noticeable chorusing effect.

  13. Reverb Control
This knob controls the amount of Reverb. As the knob is turned clockwise, the Reverb volume will increase.

  14. Power Indicator Light
This lights up to indicate that the amp is powered on.

  15. Power Switch
This switch is used to turn the amplifier on and off.
