Manual & Safety Instructions

First, complete the in-app setup.

  1. Make sure your Ring Alarm is disarmed.
  2. In the Ring app, tap Set Up a Device and find the Keypad in the Security menu.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to complete setup.

Then, install the device in your home.

  1. Choose a convenient location so you can arm and disarm easily as you come and go.
  2. You can rest the Keypad on a flat surface or install it on a wall with the bracket and screws provided.
  3. The Keypad works plugged in or running on the rechargeable battery. Charge the Keypad using the power adapter and USB cable provided.

Wall Mounting

  1. Place the mounting bracket on the wall, then use the wall anchors and screws from your kit to fasten the bracket to the wall (If using anchors, you should pre-drill holes).
  2. lide the Keypad onto the bracket. Screws: 3x 3x21mm. Anchors: 3x 5mm.

If you’re planning to use the Keypad unplugged, you should fully charge it first.

Ring Keypad is for indoor use only. Do not expose your device to liquids. If your device or adapter gets wet, carefully unplug the device without getting your hands wet and wait for the device to dry completely before plugging it in again. Do not attempt to dry your device with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. If the device appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device during a lightning storm. When this device is plugged into an electrical socket-outlet, unplugging this device will disconnect it from the AC mains supply. Only plug this device into an easily accessible socket-outlet.

BATTERY SAFETY

HANDLE WITH CARE. Your device contains a rechargeable lithiumion polymer battery and should be replaced only by a qualified service provider. Do not disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred or attempt to access the battery in your device. Do not modify or remanufacture the battery, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, or immerse or expose it to water or other liquids, expose to fire, explosion or other hazard. Only use the battery for the system for which it is specified. Use of an unqualified battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage or another hazard. Do not short-circuit a battery or allow metallic conductive objects to come into contact with battery terminals. Avoid dropping the device or battery. If the device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and the user suspects damage, do not attempt repair. Contact Ring Customer Service for assistance.
