- An incorrectly sized interface can result in slippage and/or failure of the Toonie Drop post, causing serious personal injury or death. Ensure the post is the correct size for your seat tube before inserting it into the frame.
- Seat collar torque requirements can vary depending on the frame and seat collar used. Exceeding the maximum torque limit can result in damage to the Toonie Drop post and/or frame, and hamper return action, which can result in a loss of control of the bicycle and serious personal injury or death.
- The Toonie Drop post has a minimum insertion line marked on it. This is the minimum distance that must be inserted for the Toonie Drop post to remain secure. Some frames require an additional distance to be inserted to ensure that the frame remains secure.
- Make sure the cable housing is not kinked and does not interfere with any bicycle components, clothing, or handlebar movement.
Note
The post may require a hard downward push to move it the first time you use it or if it has sat unused for a prolonged period of time. As the post is used, this breakaway force will decrease or be eliminated completely.
If the breakaway friction is excessive, or does not decrease with use, the post may need to be cleaned and lubricated.
