Preparation
CAUTION: Do not use sharp tools to remove the protective material, as it may damage the product.
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present.
Compare parts with package contents list and diagram above.

Assembly and Use

Step 1: If not attached, align finial (B) to threading on top of umbrella frame (A) and turn clockwise (to right) to lock into place. Do not over-tighten.

Step 2: Attach bottom pole (C) to umbrella frame (A), then tighten in clockwise direction. Do not over-tighten.

Step 3: Turn crank handle in clockwise direction (to right) until canopy is fully opened. Turn crank handle in opposite direction to close canopy and secure with attached strap. To close the umbrella, it must be in the upright position.
You can tilt the umbrella to the right or left by pressing the tilt button to release the umbrella top. Release the button to maintain desired angle. -
Step 4: Insert umbrella into a heavy umbrella base no less than 50 lbs (not included). Tighten locking nut on side of base to safely secure umbrella.

See enclosed Sunbrella® care and cleaning label sewn into interior side of canopy.

- DANGER : Keep children out of the assembly area during assembly.
- WARNING: Read the entire instructions before beginning and follow the steps outlined. Failure to assemble and install as instructed could result in the umbrella tipping over, causing personal injury and/or property damage.
- WARNING: Do not use this umbrella during periods of high winds and rain. Failure to do so may result in personal injury and/or damage.
- CAUTION: Assemble and use umbrella on flat surfaces. Keep umbrella away from glass tabletops during windy conditions to prevent breakage.
- INFORMATION: Recommend inserting the umbrella into an umbrella base that is no less than 50 lbs (not included) to secure umbrella in upright position.
- INFORMATION: Close the umbrella and use the canopy ties when umbrella is not in use.
- INFORMATION: Schematics in this manual are for assembly and operation illustration only. They may differ from the umbrella’s actual appearance.
Frame Warranty
90 DAY WARRANTY
This product is covered under a manufacturer’s 90 day warranty from date of
purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty does not
cover damage due to neglect, abuse or weather related damage. For full

specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
Sunbrella® Fabric Warranty
5-YEAR LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
This warranty applies to the original purchaser of Sunbrella Horizon and is
subject to inspection. During the first 3 years, if Sunbrella Horizon product
becomes unserviceable due to loss of strength or color from normal usage and
exposure, any warranty claim may be eligible for up to $40 in labor costs per
linear yard in addition to replacement product.
During years 4 and 5, Sunbrella will provide replacement product only.
WARRANTY GUIDELINES
For warranties to go into effect, Sunbrella requires a sample of the
product in question and must be given the right to inspect the product. Damage
resulting from the following is not covered under warranty:

Improper installation or cleaning;
-
Excessive staining due to gear lubricant, ink, lipstick, motor oil, iodine, betadine,
tomato-based sauces or sun lotion; -
Discoloration caused by exposure to steam
-
Discoloration due to the presence of amines in adjoining foam or adhesives; or
-
Normal wear and tear.
Warranties apply only to the top side of the product and do not apply to other items that may be present in an installation (e.g. foam, sewing thread, plywood, etc.). The warranty period begins from the date an original equipment manufacturer installed the product, or the date the product was sold to an aftermarket manufacturer. Sunbrella may, in its discretion, recommend remedial methods, such as professional cleaning or repair to be done at the consumer’s expense, in lieu of replacing the product.To get warranty service, please contact the dealer or retailer from whom the product was purchased. The original purchaser will contact the manufacturer of the item purchased who will then contact Sunbrella.
