Safety Caution

Warning: Switch off the induction cooker in case of any crack on the cook-top panel.

  1. Do not place the unit in any place that is near gas or hot environment in order to avoid damages or malfunction.
  2. To reduce the risk and damage, this plug should be fit into an individual outlet. The rated electrical current is not less than 15A.
  3. Place the unit on a level surface, the distance between it and its background surrounding must be not less than 4 inches.
  4. Do not immerse the appliance and electric cord in water liquid, or allow liquid to go into the cabinet and get short/contact inner electrical parts, the power cord must be plugged out before cleaning.
  5. Do not cover gas vent with anything during cooking, otherwise it will cause danger.
  6. To avoid danger, please uncap the cover before heating tinned food.
  7. If it is still not working after the inspection by you, please immediately contact our service center, do not apart the unit to avoid any danger.
  8. Be sure to use the power cord recommended by the appliance manufacturer after it is damaged.
  9. It would get dangers when the metal gets heated directly or indirectly.
  10. Do not place any metal on the plate, also the nonmetal pad within 4 inches.
  11. Do not cook with an empty pot; it will cause malfunction or danger.
  12. Always clean the unit to avoid any dirt goes into the fan to affect normal working.
  13. Do not touch the plate while the unit is working, to avoid getting burned.
  14. Do not let children operating alone to avoid getting burned or danger,
  15. Who with cardiac pacemaker, please operating the unit after confirm with doctor there’s no any affect.
  16. Do not operate the unit on the gas stove or metal surface to avoid any danger.
  17. Please do not place paper, cloth or other articles under the bottom of the pan to get heated, to avoid the danger of fire.
  18. Do not place the unit on the cloth, carpet to avoid blocking the gas vent.
  19. Please kindly avoid hitting the plate of the unit, in case of getting cracked, should turn off the unit and plug out immediately, and then contact with service points of our company.
  20. Do not touch the control panel with any sharp implements.
  21. Do not place any metal on the unit while operating.

Operating Instructions

A. Connect the power cable to an available outlet.
B. After inserting the plug into the socket, a “Beep” will sound and all the indicators flash a time. The indicator of [Power] will flash, indicating the appliance is in standby mode.
C. Place a suitable cookware on the center of the cooking zone.
D. To begin heating, press [Power] key once, the indicator of [Power] lights up and the display shows [ON]. Press the corresponding function keys to start operation.
E. Stop the operation and switch to standby mode by pressing [Power] key while cooking.

Cooking Mode

  1. Hot Pot: Press the [Hot pot] key and the indicator of [Hot Pot] lights up, display will show [1500] representing that the default power is 1500W. User can press [+] or [-] to adjust 8 power levels from 200W to 1500W (200W, 450W, 600W, 800W, 1000W, 1200W, 1300W, 1500W). To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  2. Stir-fry: Press the [Stir-fry] key and the indicator of [Stir-fry] lights up, display will show [464] representing that the default power is 464F. This function cannot be adjusted .To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  3. Fry: Press the [Fry] key and the indicator of [Fry] lights up, display will show [464] representing that the default power is 464F. User can press [+] or [-] to adjust 8 temperature levels from 176F to 464F (176℉, 248℉, 284℉, 320℉, 356℉, 398℉, 428℉, 464℉). To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  4. Water: Press the [Water] key and the indicator of [Water] lights up, display will show [00:20] representing that the appliance works under default power level and it is not adjustable. The default operation time is 20 minutes. To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  5. Steam: Press the [Steam] key and the indicator of [Steam] lights up, display will show [00:30] representing that the appliance works under default power level, where it cannot be adjusted. The default operation time is 30 minutes. A “Beep” will sound and the appliance will stop the operation and return to standby mode. To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  6. Soup: Press the [Soup] key and the indicator of [Soup] lights up, display will show [02:00] representing that the appliance works under default power level and it is not adjustable. The default operation time is 2 hours. To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  7. Warm Milk: Press [Warm Milk] key and the indicator of [Warm Milk] lights up, display will show [00:10] representing the appliance works under default power level and it is not adjustable. The default operation time is 10 minutes. To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  8. Congee: Press the [Congee] key and the indicator of [Congee] lights up, display will show [01:30] representing that the appliance works under default power level and it is not adjustable. The default operation time is 1 hour and 30 minutes. To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.
  9. Keep Warm: Press the [Keep warm] key and the indicator of [Keep warm] lights up, display will show [176] representing that the default temperature is 176F. User cannot adjust the levels. To cancel this mode, user can press other function keys or [Power] key to stop the operation.

Timer Function (Only for mode Hop pot, Fry, Stir fry and Keep warm):
User can set the cooking time when cooking mode is selected. Press the [Timer/Preset] key once to access the timer function, the indicator will light up. Display will show [02:00], user can press [+] or [–] to set the desired time, [+] for hour and [–] for minute. The time can be set from 0 minute to 2 hours and 59 minutes. After setting, user can press [Timer/Preset] key once to confirm or wait until the display stop flashing. When the countdown of timer ends, user can hear “Beep” sound and the appliance will stop the operation and enter standby mode automatically. To cancel this function, user can hold the [Timer/Preset] key for 3 seconds.

Pre-Set Timer (Delay Timer) Function (Only for mode Water, Steam, Soup, Warm Milk and Congee):
Press [Timer/Preset] when the unit is at standby mode, the display will show [02:00], it means the default pre-set time is 2 hours. User can press [+] or [–] key to set for the desired time; [+] key to increase and [–] to decrease (press and hold for 3 seconds to access quick adjustment), the timer can be adjusted from 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes. After started cooking time set, user can choose the desired program. When countdown of timer is down to “0”, the unit will enter the cooking function. The unit is automatic to exit the setting state to the original working state when there is no operation within 5 seconds. If there is no operation in 1 min after Pre-set pressed, unit will go back to standby model.

Lock Function:
To activate the lock, user can press the [Lock] key and hold for 3 seconds. This will lock the appliance and all the function keys are not allowed to operate including [Power] key. Hold for 3 seconds to unlock.

Pause Function:
To activate Pause function, user can press the [Pause] key and the unit will stop working, display will show [-||-]. To cancel the function, press again the [Pause] key and the unit will go back to the selected mode.

Note: When the unit is working at maximum power, it will reduce to 1200w in 3 minutes and then to 1000w in 5 minutes (after 8 minutes total).That is unit overheat protection function to ensure the unit is in normal working mode.

Selection of Cookware

Material required:

  • Steel, cast iron, enameled iron, stainless steel, flat-bottom pans/pots with bottom diameter from 4.7 inches to 10.2 inches.
  • The compatible cooking pot is required as suggested above, do not try to use other pot instead (especially pressure sensors vessels.). Please refer to following suggested cooking pot/cookware icon for this induction cooker.

Please kindly refer to the requirement below when you use your own cookware instead of the cooking pot coming with this induction cooker,

  • Pan/pot must be suitable for induction cooker.
  • Pan/pot should be flat bottom and come with the lid with steam vent

Maintenance and Daily Care

  1. Remove the power plug prior to clean the unit. Do not clean it until the surface cools down.
  2. Glass plate, panel and the shell:
  3. Soft cloth for slight stain.
  4. For greasy, dirt, blot by using a clean damp cloth with neutral detergent.
  5. While the radiator-fan working, dust and dirt would remain on the gas vent, please clean it by brush or cotton stick regularly.
  6. Remember do not washing the unit by water directly to avoid damaging.
  7. To protect induction cooker, be sure to have a good contact between plug and socket before using.
  8. Do not pull out the power cord directly during operation. To extend the appliance’s life, press the [Power] button first, and then pull out the power cord.
  9. In order to make operating time longer, the fan would still working for cooling the plate, is better to plug out after the fan stops working.
  10. Please pull out the power cord and put it away when not used for a long time.
  11. Some models have structural design to against cockroaches, if needed, can put something like mothball to expel the cockroaches.

Troubleshooting

If any errors occur during operation, please check the following table before calling for service. Below are common errors and the checks to perform.

If the above solutions cannot fix the problem, unplug the appliance immediately, contact Tatung service center for assistance. Note the error code and report it. To avoid any danger and
damage to the appliance, do not disassemble or repair by yourself.
