GREADIO GR-092P Emergency Weather Alert

Radio Operation

  • Press the button “ ” to turn on the radio, the power indi­cator turns blue.
  • Press the “BAND” button to select FM/AM/WB.
  • After selecting band FM/AM/WB , short press the button “ “or “vto select a channel. Long press button ” ” or “ ” to search the channels automatically, and it will stop when a channel is properly selected and the green signal indicator light will come on. Extend the antenna and adjust the direction to get a better signal.
  • Press the Volume button” + “or”-“to adjust volume up/down.

Weather Alert

  • Press the “AL” button to switch to weather alert mode. The yellow alert indicator will light up.
  • Once the bad weather information is received, the signal indicator will turn green and the yellow alert indicator will flash. Also, “ALERT” will flash on the LCD screen and the device will alarm.
  • Press button “AL” or “BAND” to exit weather alert mode.

Phone Charging

It has a 2000mAh capacity to charge USB devices. You can also charge your phone by inserting the 3AAA batteries into the radio.
NOTE:
► To extend the battery life, it’s suggested to use this func­ tion only in an emergency.

Power the Device

Before powering the radio, make sure you read the safety instructions.

USB Charging
  • To charge the radio, insert the supplied USB cable into the USB power source. Plug the Micro USB connector into the input port on the side of the radio.
  • When the battery is charged, the charging indicator will flash red. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator will always be red.
  • It takes 3-4 hours to fully charge.

NOTE:
► It would be better to turn off the radio before the device is charged.

Hand Crank

The radio can also be charged by turning the handle at the back of the device and activating the dynamo.

NOTE:

  • Ensure the negative(-) end is placed against the spring.
  • There is a priority to use AAA dry batteries.
  • Remove the AAA dry batteries when they are not used.

Earphone Jack

  • Insert the 3.5mm Earphone jack to listen to the radio to enjoy your leisure time.
  • If you press the SOS button at this time, the alarm sound will still be emitted from the speaker and the LCD screen will go out.GREADIO GR-092P Emergency Weather Alert-Earphone jack
  • The handle can be turned either clockwise or counter­ clockwise. The charging indicator should also light red when the handle is being turned.
  • The handle can be turned either clockwise or counter­ clockwise. Spin the handle for 1 minute at the speed of 130-150 RPM. It can be used for a flashlight for 30 min­ utes or a radio (at medium volume) for 5 minutes.
Solar Powered

Place the unit in clear sunlight to let it charge as efficient­ ly as possible.

  • The charging indicator will light red when the radio received sunlight to start changing up.
  • The charging effect depends on the intensity of sun­ light and the irradiation time of sunlight.
  • Kindly remind that it’s difficult to fully charge the radio this way. It is mostly used for maintaining the battery,to prolong the battery life.
AAA Dry Batteries

Remove the battery compartment cover which is on the bottom of the device, then insert 3 AAA batteries into the compartment. The symbol displayed on the LCD screen battery level will be converted to AAA.

Bottle Opener

  • Put the bottle opener in the bottle cap and press down or lift it up by hand to open the cap of beer, cola or other drink. Best for use in camping or party.

Flashlight

  • The flashlight can be turned on by clicking on the light button on the top of the radio.
  • Press it again to turn it off.

SOS Alarm

  • The radio has an SOS feature for an emergency that acti­ vates a loud siren and a flashlight. Long press the SOS button in the lower-left corner to activate it.
  • Press the SOS button again to turn it off.

Safety Instructions

  • For the first use or when the unit idles over 60 days, please place under strong solar light(day­ light>86000LUX) for 30 minutes or hand crank for 1 minute to activate the internal battery.
  • Please do not over-discharge the unit,so as not to reduce the internal battery life, or even damage the inter­ nal battery.
  • Use a soft damp cloth to clean the radio surface. Do not use alcohol or other liquids containing corrosive ingredients to clean this unit.
  • Unit is not waterproof, only water-resistant. Do not sub­ merge in water.
