overview

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DISPOSE OF INSECTS AND OTHER PESTS THAT VENTURE INTO YOUR HOME WITHOUT CONTACT.
No more chasing bugs around your home! Lentek’s Bug Vacuum is a stylish unit that creates a high-powered suction that captures and kills unwanted pests. It is an efficient and non-toxic way of getting rid of bugs, insects and other pests that fly into the house, office or porch. It is easy to operate – attach and detach!

EASY, CONVENIENT OPERATION
The Bug Vacuum is uniquely designed with a trap door near the tip of the vacuum nozzle. Once the insect has been sucked up through the vacuum, the insect reaches a high voltage grid at the base. After the insect is trapped, all you have to do is snap open the vacuum and dump out the contents, and once again you will be bug free!

PRACTICAL FEATURES

A built in safety mechanism in the vacuum instantly deactivates the high voltage grid when the nozzle is removed for emptying. The convenient and stylish base keeps your Bug Vacuum fully charged with enough battery power to suck up many bugs, ready for use in an instant.

  • ENDS MESSY SPLATTER ON WALLS AND CEILINGS
  • SAFE, CONVENIENT AND SANITARY
  • YOU NEVER HAVE TO TOUCH ANOTHER BUG

FEATURES

  • Uniquely designed trap door captures pests within vacuum extension tubes
  • Built in high voltage grid safely kills bugs
  • Safety interlock disables grid when wand is removed for insect disposal
  • Flexible rubber tip can trap bugs even in corners
  • Extendable nozzle to help reach high spots
  • Charging stand with LED charge indicators

CAUTION

The Bug Vac is equipped with a safety interlock at the base of the detachable tube to disable the high voltage grid when the tube is removed. Never jam the interlock in place. Do Not run the Bug Vac without the tube in place. Never use water or any cleaner on the high voltage grid. Do Not touch the high voltage grid if and when pressing the interlock and the ON/OFF switches at the same time.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  1. For optimum performance, charge the Bug Vac for a full 24 hours before the first use. Plug the included AC power adapter cord into the base and the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. Base charge LED light will turn green when Bug Vac is placed into base unit. Place the hand unit into the base stand with the ON/OFF switch set to the OFF position. Product performs best during the first minute of use. Always replace on the charging base after use.
  2. The tube assembly length can be adjusted by telescoping the inner tube in or out.
  3. The Bug Vacuum activates by sliding the ON/OFF button to the ON position. When turned on, the red LED light above the switch will illuminate. Suction will be strongest in the first 5 minutes of use. The red LED will fade and motor sound will slow as suction power lessens. After disposing of your captured bug, replace hand unit into the base stand for recharging.
  4. Vacuum up the nuisance insect by activating the Bug Vac and placing the capture tip over the insect. Some insects might require a nudge with the Bug Vac nozzle to dislodge. All captured bugs may not be killed after being zapped by the high voltage grid. Bugs should be disposed of safely.
  5. Allow the Bug Vac to run for 10 to 15 seconds after the insect has been captured to assure exposure to the high voltage grid at the base of the hand held unit. Trap door will shut to keep insect in tube.
  6. To empty, turn the Bug Vac to the off position. Remove the detachable tube and dispose of the insect. The high voltage grid is automatically disabled by removing the detachable tube.
  7. If you prefer to release the captured live insect out of doors, DO NOT push the detachable tube all the way down on the base. This will leave the safety interlocks open, disabling the high voltage grid.

REMEMBER

The BV01 Bug Vacuum is designed to capture an insect by vacuuming it up. The extension wand has a trap door at the inlet to prevent the insect from getting back out. There is an electrocution grid at the other end of the extension. The insect is sucked in and killed. The dead insect can then be easily dumped into the trash by removing the wand from the handle base. If dead insects are left in the unit they may break apart and pass through the electrocution grid to be blown out with exhaust air. The electrocution grid has a fine mesh to prevent smaller insects from passing thru the grid and out of the unit with the exhaust air. The extension wand can be positioned to deactivate the electrocution grid if a consumer wishes to capture and release insects outdoors.
