INSTANT HEAT TECHNOLOGY
The wand’s unique 30 high heat temperature settings and Instant Heat technology provide styling versatility for all hair types. If you have fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best results. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can vary the wand’s temperature according to your particular need!

Temperature Setting Guide

Temp. Control Hair Type
Low ON – 5 Fragile/Fine Hair
Medium 6 – 10 Thin Hair
Med-High 11– 15 Medium/Normal Hair
High 16– 20 Wavy/Curly Hair
Maximum 21– 30 Coarse/Thick Hair

USING INSTANT HEAT, THE HIGH HEAT TEMPERATURE SETTINGS & **UNIFORM HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM**
This styling wand features a ceramic heater that maintains constant temperature during use for precision styling.
Conair’s professional salon standards of engineering provide you with a uniform and improved heat recovery system that maintains the wand at constant temperatures. There is a constant surge of power to ensure that heat is continuously and quickly delivered for optimal styling results, unlike other units, which lose heat during use. This provides consistent styling power so that every strand of your hair is set with the same level of heat and comes out the same way for a perfect finish.

STYLING WITH THE NEW ROSE GOLD TITANIUM EASY-GLIDE BARREL
The barrel of your new curling wand has a Rose Gold Titanium Technology easy- glide surface, the newest technology. This means it’s not only simpler to clean off styling product residue, etc., after each use, but you’ll find that hair glides easily over the surface of the barrel as you’re curling. The Rose Gold Titanium surface also helps smooth down flyaways for polished results. It evenly distributes heat so that the style you create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth, shining finish. Hair also slips right off the barrel after it’s curled.
The new Rose Gold Titanium Technology is a pleasure to work with and makes styling your hair easier and the results more professional.

GETTING STARTED

Plug the iron into an electrical outlet. Turn on unit. The indicator light setting will become illuminated. Allow unit to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling iron’s Rose Gold Titanium barrel will get very hot within a few seconds and should not be placed in contact with the skin after the curling iron has been turned on.

TO CURL HAIR

Hair should be clean and completely dry before using the curling iron. Section hair evenly, and comb each section before winding. For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair.

  1. Start curling with a hair section that is 1 inch wide and no more than ½ inch thick. Open the spoon and place curling iron midway up the hair section, then spread hair evenly between spoon and barrel. Gently slide the curling iron down to hair ends. To avoid crimped ends, make sure they are securely wound under the spoon in the direction of the desired curl. Remember, always place the spoon above the hair strand when making a curl you want rolled under; place the spoon under the hair strand when creating a flip style.
  2. Wind the hair up as far as you want it curled, being careful not to let the iron touch the scalp. Hold 8–12 seconds, depending on the length and texture of your hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the style you desire.
  3. To remove the curling iron, unwind the hair and press the handle and allow curl to slide out. To set curl, do not comb or brush curls until cool.

USER MAINTENANCE

Your curling wand is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from the power source, allow it to cool and wipe the exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and return it for repair to an authorized service representative only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.

CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur at the high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if the damage is visible or if the unit stops or operates intermittently.

STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store. Allow the appliance to cool, then simply store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not jerk or strain the cord at plug connections. Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into the appliance.
