SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This straightening brush is intended for household use. Use on Alternating
Current (60 hertz) only. This unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a
safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS STYLING APPLIANCE ON HAIR EXTENSIONS.
GETTING STARTED
The straightening brush’s high heat temperature setting provides unique
styling versatility for all hair types.
STYLING WITH THE CERAMIC-COATED EASY-GLIDE PADDLE
The ceramic-coated surface helps smooth down flyaways and frizz. It evenly
distributes heat so that the style you create has a salon-perfect, silky
smooth, shiny finish.
The unique combination of heated ceramic-coated and nylon bristles provides
better contact and superior styling for beautifully defined, lasting results.
The ceramic-coated bristles retain heat while styling and the nylon bristles
gently guide hair.
TO STYLE HAIR
The straightening brush is perfect for everyday styling and touch-ups. Simply slide the switch on and follow these steps to detangle and smooth hair.
-
Ensure hair is fully dry. Use a hairbrush to remove any tangles from the hair and create your part, getting ready for styling.
-
Place the brush underneath the hair section close to the roots with the bristles pointing upward. Use your other hand to pull the hair section taut against the heated plate until the bristles penetrate through the hair.
-
Glide the brush steadily down toward the ends of the hair. Continue to use the other hand to keep the hair taut, sliding it down the section ahead of the brush. Please note: The hand sliding down the hair section must not be too close to the brush to avoid any heat contact.
-
As the brush nears the ends of the hair, release the section with the other hand and turn the heated brush under to give shape at the ends of the hair.
-
To finish your style and smooth the top of the hair, place the brush on the top of the hair section. Use the other hand to pull the section upward and taut against the heated
plate until the bristles penetrate through the hair. Take care to avoid pressing the heated plate against the scalp.
-
Glide the brush down toward the ends of the hair, using the other hand as before to keep the section taut.
-
As the brush nears the ends of the hair, release the hair section from the other hand and brush through to the ends.
GET TO KNOW YOUR STRAIGHTENING BRUSH
WARNING: The straightening brush will get very hot within a few seconds and should not come in contact with skin after it is turned on.
USER MAINTENANCE
Your straightening brush is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is
needed.
Keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes
necessary, disconnect the straightening brush from the power source, let it
cool, and wipe the exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs,
unplug the hot brush, allow it to cool, and return it for repair to an
authorized service center only. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled or twisted. Never wrap the
cord around the straightening brush. Damage will occur at the high flex point
of entry into the straightening brush, causing it to rupture and short
circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if the
damage is visible or if the unit stops or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance should be disconnected, allowed to cool, and
stored in a safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do not jerk or
strain the cord at plug connections.
Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance.
Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into
the appliance.
WARNING:
IF YOU THINK THE POWER IS OFF WHEN THE SWITCH IS OFF, YOU’RE WRONG.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
Everyone knows that electricity and water are a dangerous combination. But did
you know that an electric appliance is still electrically live even if the
switch is off? If the plug is in, the power is on. So when you are not using
your appliances, keep them unplugged.
