OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
HOW TO OPERATE YOUR HAIRSETTER
-
Your hair setter is uniquely designed with a retractable cord for easy storage. Place hair setter on a firm, flat surface. Gently pull the cord from the base of the hair setter. Open the lid and take out the clip bracket and all clips, then close the lid. With the lid closed,
plug cord into standard electrical outlet. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. -
Once plugged in, turn the unit on by sliding the switch to the ON position. The red light will go on, the rollers will heat up quickly and the ionic energy will be automatically activated (please refer to HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR for further instruction). Use the control dial to choose the desired temperature for your hair type. 12 variable heat settings give you greater versatility.
-
Allow rollers to heat with lid closed, as this will provide the fastest, most efficient heat-up. Once the rollers’ indicator light turns white,
they have reached your desired temperature and you can begin setting your hair. For tighter curls, allow rollers to heat longer at a higher temperature. Never leave your hair setter on and unattended. Always unplug the hair setter when not in use. Allow the hair setter to cool down after use, and store in a safe place. -
Hair should be clean and dry or slightly damp
– never wet – when setting. -
This appliance has a 60-minute auto OFF function. If the appliance is left on it will automatically shut off around 60 minutes.
NOTE: Red ON indicator light will remain illuminated. To restart the hair setter for operation, turn the switch off and then back on again.
USER MAINTENANCE
Your hair setter is designed for household use and is virtually maintenance free. This product represents the highest standards of workmanship and engineering research.
If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source.
Allow the hair setter to cool. Clean the unit and the metal
radiator strip with a cloth. (Occasionally you may want to clean your rollers.
Use a damp cloth and mild detergent or soap.) If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the hair setter, allow it to cool, and return it to an
authorized service representative for repair.
STORAGE
Allow hair setter to cool. Pull gently on the plug and the retractable cord will coil inside the hair setter (Fig. 1). Handle cord carefully to extend its life; avoid jerking or straining plug connections. Place hair setter out of reach of children, in a safe, dry location.
HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR
-
Place ends of hair on roller and wind toward the scalp. Roll up hair firmly, and secure clip, crossing over roller.
-
The firmness of the curl is regulated by the temperature setting chosen on the control dial, the diameter of the roller, and the length of time the roller is left in your hair.
-
For tight, firm curls, use smaller rollers and a higher temperature, and leave roller in hair for at least ten minutes before removing.
For soft, wavy curls, use larger rollers and a lower temperature and remove rollers after a shorter period of time. Our 12 variable heat settings give you longer-lasting styles. -
Removing roller: Hold roller in one hand while removing clip with the other. Gently drop roller (DO NOT PULL) and let curl bounce back after roller has been completely removed. Let cool for one minute for a firmly set curl, and then style your hair into a look that lasts for hours.
IMPORTANT : After using the hair setter several times, you will find the best roller selection and the best timing for the texture of your hair and for the result you desire.
DUAL IONIC PORT SYSTEM GENERATES NEGATIVE IONS THAT CAN:
- neutralize positive charge on flyaway, frizzy hair
- eliminate static electricity
- contribute to shine
NOTE : The unit may produce a clicking sound at times. This is normal for a high-output ion generator.
Ceramic Technology
Helps eliminate frizz and damaging hot spots. Gently styles hair to a healthy-
looking, silky, shiny finish.
SMALL ROLLERS Use on short hair or for tight curls.
MEDIUM ROLLERS Use on short hair to create fullness and tight curl. Tight curls can be used at the nape of the neck and to frame your face.
LARGE ROLLERS Use on medium to long hair to create a looser curl that’s bouncy and full of body.
