Description

SITOP power supplies are built-in units, IP20 degree of protection, protection class I. Primary switched-mode power supplies for connection to 1-phase AC system or to 2 line conductors of three-phase line supplies (TN, TT or IT line system in accordance with IEC 60364-1) with rated voltages of 120 – 230/230 – 500 V, 50 – 60 Hz; 24 V DC output voltage, isolated, short-circuit and idling- proof.

Safety notes

NOTICE
Appropriate transport, proper storage, mounting, and installation, as well as careful operation and service, are essential for the error-free, safe and reliable operation of the device/system. Setup and operation of this device/system are permitted only if the instructions and warnings of the associated technical documentation are carefully observed. Only qualified personnel are allowed to install the device/system and set it into operation.

Assembling

  • Mounting on a standard mounting rail TH35-15/7.5 (EN 60715).
  • The device should be mounted so that the terminals are at the bottom.
  • A clearance of at least 50 mm must be maintained above and below the device (max. cable channel depth 50 mm).

Connecting

WARNING: Before installation or maintenance work can begin, the system’s main switchmustbe switch edoffand measures taken to prevent it being switched onagain. If these instructions on to be served, touching live parts can result in deathor seriousinjury. It is only permissible to use an insulated screwdriver when actuatingthe potentiometer. The voltage range switchover switch can only be actuated in the no-voltage state. When installing the devices, the relevant country-specific regulations must be ob-served.

  • Important note: A fuse, a miniature circuit breaker or circuit breaker must be provided at the input.
  • The supply voltage must be connected according to IEC 60364 and EN 50178.
  • The cables used must be suitable for tempera-tures of at least 85 °C.

Operating instructions and safety instructions
Only qualified personnel may install this device, wire it or work in its proximity.
Before installation or maintenance work is begun, the main switch of the system must be switched off and be secured against being switched back on. In the case of non-observance, touching of live parts can result in death or serious injury. Do not take clearly damaged devices into operation. The relevant country-specific regulations are to be observed.

The device is a built-in device and must be mounted in a distribution box or cabinet.

The following applies for devices with power connections: A protective device (fuse) and a disconnector for disconnecting the power supply must be provided.

The following applies to devices approved for explosive atmospheres: Siemens AG Austria herewith declares that the device fulfills the requirements of EU directive 2014/34/EU. If the device is installed in a hazardous area, it must be installed in a distribution box with a degree of protection IP54 or higher. Do not pull out (disconnect) live terminals. Carry out voltage setting or switch actuation solely in a non-explosive environment. The following also applies to devices with an accessible fuse: Carry out removal / insertion of the fuse solely in a non-explosive environment.
