IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • The appliance is only used for household, not for commercial use. Do not use the device outdoors. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environ-ments;
    • farm houses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environ-ments;
    •  bed and breakfast type environments.
  • Must not immersed in water for cleaning;
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appli-ance by a person responsible for their safety.
  •  Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the man-ufacturer, its service agentor similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard;
  • The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below combustible material, such as curtains;
  • The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance isoperating;
  • Keep children away from the appliance to keep them safe from electric shocks. Make sure that the appliance is out of the reach of the reach of children. Ensure that the cable does not hang down;
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
  •  The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance.
  • Please keep these instructions, the guarantee slip. The receipt and if possible the box with inner packaging in a safe place!
  • This appliance is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use.
  • Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use or when you are attaching accessories, cleaning it or in the event of a malfunction. Switch off the appliance. Do not pull the cable, pull the plug.
  • Check the cable and the appliance regularly for damage. Do not switch on the appliance if it is damaged.
  • Do not repair the appliance yourself, but consult an authorized professional instead.
  •  Keep the appliance and the cable away from heat, direct sun-light, moisture, sharp edges and such like.
  • Never leave the appliance unsupervised if it is in use. Always switch off the appliance if you are not using it, even if only for a brief period.
  • Only use original parts.
  • Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not allow the appliance to come into contact with water or other liquids. Do not use the appliance with wet or moist hands.
  •  Remove the plug from the socket immediately if it is moist or wet. Do not touch the water!
  • Only use the appliance for its intended purpose
  • After you finish using this product, please recycle the product for disposal in accordance with local regulations.

Special Safety Instructions for this Appliance

  • Only use the appliance if supervised (very dry bread may catch fire if toasted).
  • The metal parts heat up! Danger of burns!
  •  Do not insert any forks, knives or such like in the toasting slot.
  • Do not place the appliance anywhere near inflammable objects (e.g. curtains, wood, etc.)

How to Use

  1. Only connect the appliance to a correctly installed safety plug (220-240V , 50/60Hz).
  2. Turn the selector dial clockwise to set the toasting level from lightest (stage 1) to darkest (stage 6).
  3. Insert the sliced bread into the toasting slot and push the lever down until it locks.
  4. The appliance will now start toasting and will switch off immediately once the set degree of toasting has been reached. The toast will pop up automatically.
  5.  The appliance has a heat-insulated “cool touch” casing. However, during operation the metal parts will still heat up and it is recommended to let the appliance cool before storing it away.
  6. Only place 2 slices of bread into the toaster at a time (1 in each slot).
  7. Surfaces near the toaster may become hot when in use.

If you wish to use the REHEAT or DEFROST functions, press the button you want to select after you have pushed the lever down
Cancel: To stop toasting prematurely
Reheat: To reheat the toast
Defrosting: To defrost and toast frozen bread

CLEANING

  • Ensure that the toaster is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Never place in water or any other liquid.
  • To clean, unplug and allow to cool, then remove the crumb-tray by pulling it outward. Clean off remains of bread, burns,etc.
  • Once the crumbs have been removed, refit the tray, ensuring that it is in the correct position.
  • Wipe the mesh with a damp cloth, never use dusters or cleaning agents, as the surfaces could be harmed.

Repairs can be carried out by licensed dealers or the repair services after the end of the guarantee period, but are subject to charge.
