2 Label specific information

2.1 Product infromation

My Air Protector GmbH hereby declares that the ROOFMAP complies with VDI 6022 Directive 2014/53/EU. The devices also meet the requirements of the following EU directives: RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
In order to maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation, as a user, observe these operating instructions! Read through the complete operating instructions before putting the product into operation and observe all operating and safety instructions!

2.2 Disclaimer

These operating instructions have been prepared with the greatest care. Should you nevertheless notice any omissions or inaccuracies, please notify us in writing at the address given above. MyAirProtector GmbH accepts no liability for technical and typographical errors and reserves the right to make changes to the product and operating instructions at any personal injury, property damage, or damage caused to the device, as well as, direct and indirect consequential damage, witch arises or has arisen in connection with the repairs and other actions of unqualified persons. It is strictly forbidden to make unauthorized technical changes to the device.
MyAirProtector GmbH assumes no liability or warranty for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the information in this document.

3 Basic safety instructions

3.1 intended use

Caution after receiving the package, check it for packaging damage and document this accordingly. If the packaging is severely damaged, the consignment should be rejected. A damaged device must not be put into operation.

The device is designed for the purpose of cleaning or disinfecting the ambient air, especially for poorly ventilated or unventilated indoor areas. Use of the device minimizes the risk of infection, especially in the case of virus- or bacteria-based infections.
However, infection cannot be ruled out. In particular, not if the user of the device does not adhere to official hygiene regulations, recommendations, ordinances, laws or binding instructions, such as minimum distance, mouth and nose covering and similar measures and provisions. For an optimal effect, the devices should be distributed evenly in the room.

  • Do not cover air openings!
  • Observe the manufacturer’s installation recommendation!
  • Always place the device on the bracket supplied by the manufacturer!

Intended use includes observing the operating instructions, in particular the safety instructions, and observing the inspection and maintenance conditions.

3.2 Organizational measures

  • The employee assigned to work on the system must have read and understood the operating instructions and, in particular to personnel who only work on the machine occasionally, for example maintenance.
  • The operating instructions must always be kept ready to hand in printed or digital from at the place of use of the system.
    In addition to the operating instructions, the generally applicable, statutory and other binding regulations on accident prevention and environmental protection must be observed and instructed.

3.3 Personnel selection and qualification

  • Only use trained or instructed personnel. Clearly define the responsibilities of the personnel for operation, maintenance and repair!
  • Work on the electrical equipment of the installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician or by specially trained persons in accordance with the electro technical safety rules.

3.4 Safety instructions for specific operating phases

  • Only operate the system if all protective devices and safety-related equipment, e.g. detachable protective devices, are present and functional.
This applies especially to the safety cover!
  • Immediately eliminate any faults that may affect safety.

  •  Carry out the prescribed adjustment, maintenance and inspection work in due time.
3.5 Safety instructions for individual system parts

general use:

  • UV-C radiation is dangerous for eyes and skin. Removing the shields is not permitted.
  • If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer.
  • Do not immerse the device in liquids or operate it when it’s wet.
filter change:
  • Caution: Observe hygiene measures after changing the filter!
    o wear gloves
    o Do not touch the face with your hand
    o Wash your hands

Lamp replacement:

  • The lamp may only be changed by a certified electrician.
  • Caution: Before changing the lamp, disconnect the unit from the mains and secure it against being switched on again!
    Observe the nationally applicable safety regulations during use. In the Federal Republic of Germany, the guidelines of the employers’ liability insurance association must be observed. For other countries, the national safety guidelines must be observed.

4 Mounting details

  • All electrical installations must be carried out by a specialist. The installation of the electrical connections must be carried out without voltage-free

  • Different materials require different fastening fittings. Use screws and dowels that are suitable for the corresponding material. The mounting material supplied is intended for fastening in solid building material (concrete, solid brickwork). Before mounting, make sure that drilling and screwing will not damage any pipes in the substrate. To prevent this, pay attention to the position of the supply line, among other things. Hint

  • Ensure at least 30 cm clearance on each side between the unit and the walls or floor/ceiling in the case of vertical installation.

  • For vertical wall mounting, LED side must face upwards ensure correct mounting.

  • The device should be kept away from heat sources and protected from direct sunlight.
