SQSG003 Varilight Supla App User Guide
Simply Connect to the Power

Disconnect power from the distribution board.

Install Dimmer.
Connect the Live wire to the terminal marked and the Load / Switched Live wire to the terminal marked .
The middle terminal, marked , is used in a 2-Way/Multi-Way circuit to connect a Dimmer to one or more Supplementary Controllers. -
Reconnect power from the distribution board.

Wait a couple of minutes for the dimmer to complete its initiation procedure. The lights will flash on and off a few times during this procedure. When the flashing stops the dimmer can be controlled using the dimmer knob. Behind the dimmer knob a blue light will blink slowly to indicate that the dimmer is not yet connected to the control app.

Android Devices

The next step is to create an account for the Supla App that will be used to control the dimmer from your mobile device. For Android devices, scan the QR code or search the Google Play Store and download the Supla App from on your chosen mobile device.

Click on “Settings” and “Create an account” and after creating login details an email should have been sent to your selected email address. If the email doesn’t appear then please also check your junk/spam folder.

Reload the app on your mobile device and in the settings of your device switch off any mobile data connection.

Click the 3-line menu button on the top left of the screen and click the “Add I/O Device” button on this menu and follow the procedure.

To put the dimmer into configuration mode, press the dimmer knob for at least 10 seconds until the blue light starts to blink quickly. Release the knob.

The dimmer should now be installed successfully and will appear on your Supla home screen. Slide this tab to the left to reveal the dimming slider and you should now be able to control the brightness of your load by using your mobile device.

The name of the dimmer can be changed by holding a press on the dimmer tab and changing the ‘channel name’. The name of the assigned location can be changed by holding a press on the location section and changing the ‘location name’.

Apple Devices
- The next step is to create an account for the Supla App that will be used to control the dimmer from your mobile device. For Apple devices, scan the QR code or search the App Store and download the Supla App on your chosen mobile device.
- Click on “Create an account” and after creating login details an email should have been sent to your selected email address. If the email doesn’t appear then please also check your junk/spam folder.
- Click on the web link that was sent to your email but do not sign in on the webpage at this point.
- Reload the app on your mobile device and click the 3-line menu button on the top left of the screen and click the add I/O device button on this menu and follow the procedure.
- To put the dimmer into configuration mode, press the dimmer knob for at least 10 seconds until the blue light starts to blink quickly. Release the knob. Press the “system settings” button on your mobile device and change the network on your mobile device to the one beginning with SUPLA.
- The dimmer should now be installed successfully and will appear on your Supla home screen. Slide this tab to the left to reveal the dimming slider and you should now be able to control the brightness of your load by using your mobile device.

Simply Connect to Google Home
- Open your Google Home app, and open settings
- Open ‘Works with Google’
- Search ‘Supla’, choose ‘SUPLA.ORG’ as seen below. Sign into the Supla website when it comes up. Your account will automatically be linked. Choose the device you want to set up and set up as appropriate.
- Use your dimmer with the device widget on the Google Home app, or with linked Google Home accessories.
Simply Connect to Amazon Alexa
- Open your Google Home app, and tap more (1)
- Tap the search icon in the top right (2) and tap ‘Skills & Games’ (3)
- Search ‘supla’, choose ‘SUPLA’ (4). Enable the Supla skill on your Alexa system (5).
- Sign into the Supla website when it comes up (6). Grant access, and your account will be linked to Alexa (7). Your account is now linked (8).
- Tap ‘Discover Devices’ for Alexa to recognise your new dimmer. You can now use your dimmer with the device widget on the Alexa app, or with linked Alexa accessories.
