How to Use

Getting start

• Slide up to remove the stand, then unscrew the cover of battery jar.
• Follow the (+/-) icon to put three AAA batteries into the jar.
• Replace the cover and stand.

Probe Connection

• Lift the jack cover
• Take probes out from the probe holder
• Insert probes into the jack socket
• To ensure accurate readings, place the probe as close to the food center as possible. The lead is about 3.3 ft (1 meter) and made by heat-resistant material.
• However, it is noticed that leads and LCD screen CAN NOT be heated by fire.

Settings

CHILEAF provides three modes for your BBQ &cooking

• Food Profile : System has preset the required temperature of several kinds of food and doneness in accordance with USDA
• Target Temperature : You can set the target temperature by yourself, once the temperature is reached, the alarm will sound
• Timer: Once the preset time is reached, the alarm will sound
  Probes 1 to 4 need to be set separately when first use.
  Tap – / + to switch between probe 1,2,3 and 4.

Buttons & Application
To wake up CHILEAF, hold any button on it for 1s. Then press any button to light up screen.

Mode

– Tap “mode” to switch the mode selection: Meat (Food Profile) –> Temper –> Timer

Meat Profile Mode

• Switch the mode into food profile, press and hold “mode” for 2sec. until the word starts flashing.
• Then use “+” “-” to set type of food
  Tap “mode” and use “+” “-” to choose the Doneness after choosing the type, then tap “mode” again to confirm.

Temper Mode

• Use “mode” to switch mode into TEMPER, press & hold “mode” for 2sec. to set target temperature and tap “mode” again to confirm
• Press& hold “mode” for 5sec. to restore setup defaults
• The range of temperature is 100°F to 464°F

Timer

• Switch mode into TIMER, press & hold “mode” for 2sec. to set countdown time mm –> ss, then tap “mode” again to confirm
• Press& hold “mode” for 5sec. to restore setup defaults
• The range of minute is up to 99, and 59 to second

[+] [-]

• Use “+” “-” to decide which probe Will be showed on screen
• Use “+” “-” after the mode starts flashing to change the value
• All above are unavailable when the screen shows “cook…”

[start/stop]

• Tap to start/stop cooking
• Tap to stop alert
  Hold for 2 sec. to turn off the unit (unavailable on cooking)

Bluetooth Connection

• Download the Chi-BBQ App by scan the QR code

• Make sure the bluetooth of your smart phone has been turned on

• Open the Chi-BBQ app, then click “searching devices”

• Connect the device named “BBQ 100”

• Choose one probe, then tap the icon of settings

• Click “start” when the settings are completed

• Waiting for the alarm

When reaches the target temperature or time out, beep sound and screen flashing will be activated on CHILEAF, as well as the sound & vibration on Chi-BBQ app.

FAQ

1. Android or IOS connection failed.

   • Check the bluetooth status. Hold “+” for 2sec. to confirm the status when there is no bluetooth connection within 3.3 ft (1 meter).
   • The thermometer only allows one device to connect for once. If you want to connect with another phone, please go to Chi-BBQ and click “unpair” to disconnect from the current phone.
   • Some Andriod phones cannot connect the BBQ successfully. Then you need to go to the setting interface in the mobile phone, open the application management, find CHI-BBQ, open the GPS function, then connect the phone again.

2. Does CHILEAF thermometer have the low temperature alarm?
   No, only have the low temperate setting: 100°F/38°C

3. Does CHILEAF thermometer have the high temperature alarm?
   Yes, when the temperature is higher than 280 °C, the product will continue to alarm, then the probe needs
   to be taken away from the high temperature place, and the device will release the over-temperature alarm automatically.

4. Is it still working without app?
   Yes, it can be used alone.

5.  What is the power supply of this wireless thermometer?
   As the power supply, three AAA batteries should be installed in thermometer when first use. Your
   thermometer will remind you via the low battery indicator on its screen.

6. How to convert temperature units (°C/°F) and Celsius?

   • Lift the cover of battery slot, you can see a switch  button on the left side.
   • Connect the APP, and switch the temperate in the APP settings.

7. Without inserting the probes, whether the thermometer can still connect with the app?
   Yes, but the mode settings are not available.

8. Is it waterproof?
   Yes, it rated IPX3. The contact heads of probes can be cleaned by water. If the body wet, dry with a soft cloth.

9. The BBQ has three modes for the user to select, meat mode, temperature mode and time mode. The user can select the mode within the product or select the mode via the APP.
   Product selection mode: Touch the “MODE” button once and the display will show a mode.

   • Meat mode : Touch the “MODE” button for 2 seconds to enter into the meat selection mode. Select the meat by “+” or “-” button, touch the “MODE” button to confirm, and enter the meat selection degree, using “+”Or “-” button to select the maturity, touch “MODE” to confirm. After setting, touch the “START/STOP” button to turn on the timekeeping mode.
   • Temperature mode : Touch the “MODE” button for 2 seconds to enter into the temperature setting mode. Use the “+” or “-” button to select the temperature range and touch the “MODE” button to confirm. After setting, touch the “START/STOP” button to turn on the timing. mode. (temperature range 100°F/38°C~464°F/240°C)
   • Time mode : Touch the “MODE” button to enter into the minute setting mode, select the minute range by “+” or “-” button, touch the time to enter into the second setting mode, and select the second range by “+” or “-” button. After setting, touch the “START/STOP” button to turn on the countdown mode. (countdown time range 99min 59sec)

10. APP setting mode
    In the APP channel display interface, select any channel to enter, click Edit to enter into the setting mode.

    • Profile mode : Select any meat in the Select meat type, then select the cooking degree in the Select doneness level. After selecting it, click “Save” to start.
    • Temperature mode , select the cooking temperature under Set target cooking temperature, click “Save” to start. (temperature range 100°F/38°C~464°F/240°C)
    • Timer mode : Select the countdown time under Set countdown timer and click “Save” to start (countdown time range 99min 59sec)
