USER MANUAL FOR NEOPRENE DIVING WETSUITS

WARNING:
Before using this wetsuit, it is imperative to have received full training and to have obtained a diving certificate issued by an approved organization.
The use of a wetsuit by an unqualified person or by someone who as not been fully trained is dangerous and could result in a serious accident, even death.
AQUA LUNG declines any responsibility in the event of an incident caused due to lack of training, misuse or unsuitable usage of clothing.

CAUTION
Certain materials such as neoprene used in the manufacture of the wetsuit may cause allergies.
Consult your doctor if you suffer from allergies before using this wetsuit.

COMPLIANCE TO STANDARDS

AQUA LUNG isothermal diving suits comply with the mechanical resistance and performance tests required by the EN 14225-1: 2017 standard and consequently received the EC certificate.

APPLICATION:
Diving wetsuits are designed to protect you from the cold whilst diving. Diving wetsuits do not provide any protection in polluted water, radioactive water, water polluted by chemical, biological, hydrocarbons agents
In accordance with the standard, the maximum depth of the test is 50 meters. This garment provides thermal protection relating to its EN class ratification in accordance with the standard EN 14225-1: 2017.

Aqua Lung guarantees that the designated products comply with the requirements and that Aqua Lung meets its obligations concerning the EC rule 2016/425 Relative to Individual Protection Equipment.

Norme EN14225-1 : 2017
The above dry suits have been tested by an independent institution in accordance with the requirements of the European standards EN14225-1: 2017.

WETSUIT USAGE LIMITATIONS

This wetsuit is intended for  us in conditions which comply with the standard requirements.

CAUTION
It is imperative to follow the recommendations of a qualified person when fitting your wetsuit.
If you choose a wetsuit that is too tight you could encounter squeeze problems during the dive.

ACCESSORIES

Accessories and spare parts are not available for this wetsuit.

COMPATIBILITY
This wetsuit is compatible with other dive equipment.

RECYCLING SCRAP
Put your wetsuit in the recycling bin when it shows one or more following characteristics:

• Neoprene lost 30% of the initial thickness
• Cuffs tore off
• Neoprene delaminating

BEFORE DIVING
Check the wetsuit carefully and ensure the zipper works.

DONNING
CAUTION
Avoid sharp objects: rings, earrings, watch, fingernails, … when donning suits.
Turn the top half of the wetsuit inside out (to the waist) this will facilitate pulling the suit over the feet and legs. If the wetsuit has ankle and wrist cuffs, always turn them out to ease putting on the suit and to avoid damaging the neoprene. Once the wetsuit fits snugly then do up the zipper.

CAUTION
Check the wetsuit thermal classification and ensure that it corresponds to your diving needs. Depending on the dive duration, you may need an undergarment which will provide extra warmth and protection.

In all cases, if you are cold, abridge your dive and resurface by respecting the usual safety instructions.

An inappropriate wetsuit may result in hypothermia or hyperthermia. Correct training is therefore required to understand the correct use of your equipment and requirements.

The hydrostatic pressure acting on the wetsuit decreases its thickness. Thermal protection and wetsuit buoyancy decrease with the depth.

USAGE ADVICE
During your dive, protect your wetsuit from abrasive contacts: such as rocks, wreckages, boat ladders, etc… Ensure that your other equipment does not damage it either; knives, weight belts, etc…

TO TAKE OFF YOUR WETSUIT
Follow the instructions on how to put on your wetsuit but in reverse make sure you don’t damage the neoprene or the zipper.

SERVICING
Rinse your wetsuit with fresh, cold water after each dive. Then dry and store it on a hanger in a dry shady and ventilated location. You must rinse and dry the zippers after each dive.

CAUTION
Do not put your wetsuit in a washing machine or a dryer. Do not use any chemical or detergent products that may damage the wetsuit’s neoprene.

MAINTENANCE

AQUA LUNG recommends to soap the wetsuit periodically and to rinse it with fresh and tepid water at a maximum temperature of 30°C ± 5°C. You can also carry out bacteriological cleaning by using specific shampoos recommended by AQUA LUNG.

STORAGE
Never store the wetsuit near an electric motor or heat source which produces ozone. It is recommended to flat store the wetsuit or to hang on an adapted hanger. To avoid any neoprene deformation, do not store anything on the wetsuit.

CAUTION
A prolonged exposure to heat, ozone, chlorine or UV rays causes neoprene decomposition.

WARRANTY

The warranty applies to all suits where there is a manufacturing fault or a material fault recognised as such by AQUA LUNG.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use and do not cover damage like cuts, scratches, … due to donning not respecting recommended rules.
The warranty does not apply if the equipment sold was not used or maintained according to the conditions detailed in this guide.
The warranty is void if the suit is modified by a person or workshop that has not been authorised by AQUA LUNG.
This warranty does not extend to equipment used for commercial or military purposes.
Partner Center (rental / instructional) equipment is covered under warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, provided that it receives normal use, proper care and prescribed dealer service, as outlined in the owner’s manual.
For any wetsuit, the consumer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity, and the guarantee against hidden defects. Under the conditions provided by the applicable regulations, the legal guarantee of conformity covers the defects of conformity existing during the delivery, the packaging, the assembly instructions or the installation. The customer who wishes to implement this legal guarantee of conformity can act within two years from the delivery of the product. Any defects of conformity that appear within this period are presumed to exist at the time of delivery, unless proven otherwise. The customer can choose between repairing or replacing the property. Its choice may be rejected if it entails a cost that is manifestly disproportionate in the other category, given the value of the property or the size of the defect. In the event that the repair and exchange are impossible, a total or partial refund will be offered to the customer. The customer also benefits from a guarantee due to the hidden defects of the product. The action resulting from hidden defects must be initiated by the customer within two years from the discovery of the defect. The customer can choose between the resolution of the sale or a reduction of the selling price.
To request the benefit of these guarantees, it is imperative to provide the proof of purchase (invoice or receipt mentioning the date and purpose of the purchase). Packaging and transport costs are borne by AQUA LUNG. Defective parts exchanged become the property of AQUA LUNG. To qualify for any of these warranties, the customer may contact an authorized AQUA LUNG dealer.
