Continuing the tradition, we now present the KENT Electric Rice Cooker for a homemade and healthy diet. Rice is a staple food enjoyed by millions of people. While eating rice is a pleasure, cooking it is a cumbersome process. Traditionally, rice is cooked in round pots on an open flame. Steamed vegetables and other dishes like Dalia, momos, and soup are healthy meals enjoyed by many, but not cooked regularly because of the traditional cooking process. Introducing KENT Electric Rice Cooker, for cooking rice, steaming, making soup, etc. with a ‘Keep Warm’ function and futuristic features for extra convenience and easy cooking.

USING KENT ELECTRIC RICE COOKER
- Remove any stickers that may prevent unit operation.
- Check the unit for damage. Do not use in case of any damage.
- Before switching on the appliance, make sure that your home’s main voltage corresponds to that of the unit operation.
- Remove the sheet between the inner pot and the heating element.
- Clean the washable parts of the appliance thoroughly before using it for the first time [refer to the ‘Cleaning & Maintenance’ section).
- Make sure all parts are completely dry before you start using the appliance.
- Always use the given measuring cup to measure the ingredients for the chosen recipe. A measuring cup of rice is around 150g. Please note that the rice should not be washed directly in the inner pot.
- A maximum of 1L rice can be cooked at one time.
- Always add water and rice in the right proportion. Do not exceed the maximum amount of rice and water proportion. The proportion of water can be based on personal preferences and adjusted if required.
- Please do not add more water than the level indicated on the inner pot.
- Before using, ensure that nothing is stuck between the heating plate and the bottom of the inner pot. If anything is found, please clean it.
- Ensure that the inner pot is properly secured in its place. RECIPES
COOKING RICE
Step 1: Open the lid by pressing the ‘Release Lever’ button found on the
lid.
Step 2: Take the inner pot out.
Step 3: Measure the rice using the measuring cup provided.
Note: Do not exceed the quantities indicated on the inside of the inner
pot.
Step 4: Wash the rice thoroughly.
Step 5: Put the pre-washed rice in the inner pot.
Step 6: Add water to the level indicated on the scale inside the inner
pot that corresponds to the number of cups of rice used.
Step 7: Then smoothen the rice surface.
Step 8: Put the inner pot in the appliance. Check if the inner pot is in
proper contact with the heating element.
Note: Make sure that the outside of the inner pot is dry and clean and
that there is no foreign residue on the heating element or the magnetic
switch.
Step 9: Close the lid of the appliance, and plug in the appliance to the
main voltage.
Step 10: Press the ‘Start button.
Step 11: Once the rice has been cooked, the appliance will automatically
switch to ‘Keep Warm’ mode.
Tip: Open the lid and stir the rice to loosen it for best results. Do
this just after the appliance has switched to ‘Keep Warm’ mode. Then close the
lid firmly. Stirring the rice allows the excess steam to escape. and give
fluffier rice.
COOKING SOUP
Step 1: Put the ingredients for the soup and add water in the inner pot. Do
not exceed the maximum water level indicated inside the inner pot on the
scale.
Step 2: Put the inner pot in the appliance. Check if the inner pot is in
proper contact with the heating element.
Step 3: Close the lid of the appliance, and plug in the appliance to the main
voltage.
Step 4: Press the ‘Start’ button to start cooking.
Step 5: Once the cooking is done, you will hear 2 beeps and the appliance will
automatically switch to the ‘Keep Warm’ state.
Step 6: Unplug the appliance to switch it off.
STEAMING
Step 1: Measure three cups of water with the measuring cup and pour it into
the inner pot.
The amount of water varies according to the quantity of food being steamed.
Step 2: Put the food to be steamed on the plate or in the inner tray.
Step 3: Put the steam tray on top of the inner pot.
Step 4: If you are using a separate plate, put it in the steam tray.
Step 5: Close the lid.
Step 6: Press the ‘Start’ button.
Step 7: Open the lid and carefully remove the steamed food from the plate or
steam tray.
Use a kitchen glove or a cloth, as the plate and steam tray will be very hot.
Step 8: Unplug the appliance to switch it off.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the KENT Electric Rice Cooker before cleaning it.
- After using the appliance, wait for it to cool before cleaning it.
- To protect the non-stick coating of the inner pot, do not:
- Use the inner pot for washing dishes.
- Put vinegar into the pot.
- Use only a moist cloth to wipe the outside and inside the body of the KENT Electric Rice Cooker.
- Use hot water, detergent, and a sponge to clean the inner pot. Don’t use steel wool.
- If food sticks to the inner pot, you can soak for a moment before cleaning.
- Do not wash the rice in the pot directly.
- Clean the inner lid, inner pot, steam tray, rice scoop, and steam vent cap with a sponge or cloth, hot water, and some dishwashing liquid.
- If there is water on a hot plate, use a dry cloth to wipe it. If there is rice on it, remove it.
- Please clean the sealing cover and steam valve regularly to avoid any peculiar smell in the rice.
- When not in use for a long time, unplug the appliance and store it in a dry place.
- The power cord should be unplugged before cleaning. Start cleaning when the body is cold completely.
Note: Never immerse the body of the KENT Electric Rice Cooker in water, nor rinse it under a tap. Wipe the heating element with a dry cloth.
PRECAUTIONS
- Do not disassemble, repair or alter the appliance on your own. It may cause appliance failure or breakdown.
- The input voltage must not exceed the rating, as it might damage the appliance.
- Unplug before cleaning/moving the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug.
- If the power cord is damaged, replace it with a genuine KENT spare.
- Do not install the appliance near any heat source, e.g., heater.
- If the appliance is not in use for a longer time, unplug it.
- Do not sit on, stand on or shake the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance in a recumbent or inclined position.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed. including the following:
- Unplug when not in use and before servicing.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use near or on wet surfaces.
- Use the appliance only as described in the manual.
- Do not use the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged or worn out. Replace the damaged cord or plug immediately.
- Do not try to service the appliance on your own. Send it to an authorized service center only.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the cord. Always unplug by pulling the plug and not the cord.
- To avoid electric shocks, do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Turn off all controls before unplugging.
- This appliance is suitable for indoor use only.
- Keep away from children.
- The appliance is not designed to be used by people who are physically or mentally disabled, mentally handicapped, or lack relevant experience and knowledge unless a person responsible for their safety uses the product with supervision or guidance.

accordance with the scale on the inner pot (see chapter ‘Using the Appliance).
The cooking process has not started.| The appliance has not been started.

The inner pot is not properly in contact with the heating element.| Make sure

sure you add water in accordance with the scale on the inner pot (see the
section on ‘Using the Appliance).
An incorrect menu has been selected.| Select proper menu Isee the section

The rice is cooked too soft.| Too much water was used.| Make sure you add
water in accordance with the scale on the inner pot (see the section on ‘Using
the Appliance).
Cooked rice is too hard.| Not enough water was used.| Add slightly more water
to the level indicated on the scale inside the inner pot that corresponds to
the number of cups of rice used. Make sure the water does not exceed the next
level on the scale. as this may cause overflow during cooking.
The rice is not cooked.| Not enough water has been added.| Make sure you add
water in accordance with the scale on the inner pot (see the section on ‘Using
the Appliance’).
The cooking process has not started.| The appliance has not been started.
Press the correct button.
The inner pot is not properly in contact with the heating element.| Make sure

The heating element is damaged.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to

until water runs clear.
The rice cannot ‘Keep Warm’ automatically.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
KENT warrants all new products manufactured by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal usage and service from the date of purchase as under:
- The Warranty period commences from the date of purchase by the first end-user. During this Warranty period of one year. KENT or its Authorised Service Provider (ASP) will replace or repair any part of KENT Electric Rice Cooker, that in the opinion of KENT or its ASP, would be defective in operation due to faulty material or workmanship (i.e. manufacturing defects) with the exception of consumables.
- The product’s plastic body is not covered under Warranty and hence, it must be handled with care to guard against breakage.
- The original purchaser of the unit can avail services under Warranty at the point of sale, by producing the damaged parts] along with the original invoice.
- This Warranty is void if the unit is not operated under normal conditions or according to the instructions given in the manual.
- Product returned to KENT or its ASP for Warranty examination must be shipped freight prepaid.
- KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for claims exceeding the cost of repair of the defects in workmanship.
- This Warranty Agreement shall not be interpreted to render KENT or its ASP liable for injuries or damages of any kind – direct, consequential or contingent to persons or property.
- KENT or its ASP shall not be held responsible by representative or buyer for failure to abide by any of the obligations of this Warranty Agreement if such failures are the result of circumstances of Forces Majeures: such as but not limited to. floods, earthquakes, transportation strikes, labor disputes with outside suppliers or any other conditions beyond the control of KENT or its ASP.
- KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for repair or alterations made without prior written approval: for products failures resulting from the lack of proper maintenance.
- This Warranty Agreement excludes all products/component parts or damage to any part of this Electric Rice Cooker which, in the opinion of KENT or its ASP, have been subjected to misuse; misapplication; negligence; alteration; accident or operation contrary to our instructions, incompatibility with accessories not installed by KENT or its ASP, or that have been repaired with component parts other than those manufactured by or obtained from KENT or its ASP. Damage caused by freezing, flood, fire or Act of God is not covered by this Warranty. In all such cases, regular charges will apply. This limited warranty does not include service to diagnose a claimed malfunction in this unit.
- KENT reserves the right to alter or improve design and specifications at any time, without any contingent obligations to prospective buyers or owners of the products previously sold.
- Any disagreements and obligations based upon the purchase of KENT products and thereby imposed on KENT or its ASP shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of INDIA and subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
- KENT or its ASP assumes no Warranty liability in connection with this Electric Rice Cooker other than that specified herein. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. KENT or its ASP does not authorize any person or representative to assume for them any other obligations on the sale of this Electric Rice Cooker
- Under no circumstances, the liability of KENT or its ASP shall exceed the value of the product.
- Under no circumstances are the terms mentioned above negotiable and no employee of KENT or its ASP has the authority to supersede them.
