IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. To ensure Familiarity with the controls, safety features, and operation of your heater -Read all instructions before using.
  2. Do not insert foreign objects through the intake or discharge grilles.
  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  4. Disconnect the cord from the outlet before cleaning. A heater should never be used under conditions where it may be immersed, or come in contact with water. Similarly do not plug in your heater if its surfaces are damp.
  5. Do not use the appliance on the same socket or electric circuit as other electrical appliances so as to prevent the circuit from being overloaded, which will cause a fire. Please do not prolong the power cords by yourself or use a movable socket.
  6. Unplug the heater by grasping the plug and pulling it from the outlet. NEVER YANK ON CORD.
  7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  8. Do not use in locations when the heater will be left unattended for long periods of time. (for example several weeks in an unoccupied summer cottage)
  9.  Do not use attachments not recommended and sold by MIDEA distributors.
  10. Loose connections between the heater plug and the electrical outlet may cause the plug to overheat.
  11.  Ensure no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your heater. A circuit overload could occur resulting in dimmed lights, blown fuses,  tripped circuit breakers, or fire hazards.
  12.  The heater is intended for household indoor use only.
  13. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
  14. Warning: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  15. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower, or a swimming pool.

    | This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.
  17.  Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  18. CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
  19. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own unless constant supervision is provided.
  20. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, or any another device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.

WARNING: IN ORDER TO AVOID OVERHEATING, DO NOT COVER THE HEATER.

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

  1.  Plug into any AC220-240V ~50Hz AC source. (See important safeguards section 3.2 regarding the use of extension cords).
  2.  Your heater is equipped with a rotary knob switch.
  3. Place the heater in a nearby location where the heat and light can reach you.
  4. The heater should be placed on a level and even floor as uneven floors can cause the safety tip-over pin to shut off the heater (Best not to use over the carpet that has a long pile).

REMEMBER: portable electric heaters are designed for spot heating, or as a supplementary heat source. They are not intended to be the main source of heat during the normal heating season.

Note: There may be a trace of smoke or odor when the unit is first operated. Do not be alarmed, this indicates that a drop of oil fell on the heating coil during the manufacturing process. It will quickly evaporate, and should not re-occur.

SAFETY CONTROL

Your heater is fitted with a safety device thermal fuse that Shuts off the heater by a thermal fuse in the event of overheating or malfunction and does not operate for some other accidental reason.

If overheating or malfunctions continue, return the heater to an Approved Service Agent for examination.

The most common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff entering the heater, Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the unit and vacuum cleaning air vents and front grille.

Remark:

For electric local space heaters, the measured seasonal space heating energy efficiency cannot be worse than the declared value at the nominal heat output of the unit.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION

  1. Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater occasionally with a cloth moistened (not dripping wet) with a solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the case thoroughly with a soft dry cloth before operating the heater.
  2. No other user maintenance is required or recommended. If service is required, send your heater to the nearest authorized service depot.
  3. Store heater in a clean and dry place when not in use.
