Getting Started:

Download the Feit Electric app on your smart device

Assemble and Install your outdoor Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake
A) Firmly push the barbed stake into the bottom of the Smart Wi-Fi unit until a firm connection is made.
B) With the barbed stake attached, firmly push the Smart Wi-Fi unit into the ground at a suitable location.
NOTE: When installing
products in hard or dry soil, water the soil several hours beforehand to make
the installation easier. Do not force the stake into the ground as excess
force can break or bend the stake. -
Plugin your outdoor Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake
Plug the Smart Wi-Fi Yard
Stake into an outdoor-rated GFCI receptacle with an appropriate outdoor cover.
WARNING: These products may represent a possible shock or fire hazard if improperly installed or attached in any way. Products should be installed in accordance with the owner’s manual, current electrical codes, and/or the current National Electric Code (NEC). -
Launch and use the Feit Electric app to complete the setup
Tap Add Device or the+ sign, then select Outdoor Plug and confirm. You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi network and password.
Indicator light must be rapidly blinking to connect. If not
already blinking, press and hold the power button for five seconds.
Be sure to connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that covers your installation location. -
Plug your device into the outdoor Smart Wi-Fi Stake
Ensure your device is switched to the ON position and plug it into the outdoor Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake.
NOTE: To protect the unit, each outlet has an individual spring-operated cover that closes automatically when a cord is unplugged or not in use.

WARNING:
a) CAUTION – Risk of Fire. Not for permanent installation. Use only with
outdoor equipment, Christmas-tree, or other seasonal decorative-lighting
products having a total of 12 Ampere maximum. Do not install or use this
product for more than a 90-day period.
b) If using Christmas tree or decorative-lighting products that are not marked
with an ampere rating, connect no more than 140 screw-base lamps (C7 or C9) or
12 strings with midget (push-in) lamps to this cord set.
c) Cord sets shall be plugged into a GFCl-protected receptacle.
d) If using an outdoor-use cord set for an extended period of time (greater
than 90 days) please consider hard-wiring a permanent outdoor-use receptacle
rated for year-round use in the area that power is needed. Please contact a
licensed electrician for proper installation of permanent wiring.
e) After completion of installation, the connector shall be maintained a
minimum of 6 inches above the ground.
f) SUITABLE FOR OUTDOOR USE, WET LOCATION. STORE IN DRY LOCATION WHEN NOT IN
USE
g) For temporary outdoor installation and use

When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed.
THIS OUTDOOR SMART WI-Fl YARD STAKE IS A “GROUNDED” DEVICE
The male plug contains a ground pin and is only intended for use with a three-
pronged grounded outlet.
DO NOT ATTACH A DEVICE THAT EXCEEDS THE UNIT RATINGS
CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. GROUNDING CONTINUITY MUST BE MAINTAINED.
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
If you are having difficulty connecting:
-
Make sure the Wi-Fi network is a 2.4 GHz network.
The outdoor Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake will not connect to a 5 GHz network. -
Test your Wi-Fi network with other devices such as your phone to make sure it is operating properly.

The Wi-Fi connection may not have good coverage during setup. Try moving the Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake closer to your Wi-Fi router.

Your Wi-Fi network password is case sensitive, make sure you are entering it correctly.
Devices plugged into your Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake must be ON in order to be
controlled via the mobile app.
