Before using for the first time
- Rinse the pan in hot water (do not use washingup detergent) and dry carefully.
- Use some extra cooking fat when frying the first few times in order to improve the properties of the pan.
Cleaning
- Clean the pan after use by washing by hand in water using a brush. If you wash the pan while it is still warm it will be easier to clean. Wipe dry carefully after cleaning
- Do not leave the pan to soak for a long period.
- Do not use washing-up detergent. But if it is absolutely necessary, oil the pan with a little cooking oil after cleaning.
- If rust spots should develop on the pan, scrub with steel wool or a steel brush and rinse. Then oil the pan with cooking oil and place it in the oven at max. 150ºC/302ºF for about 1 hour.
- If the pan is used in the oven a slight smell may emanate from the handles. The smell will go away and will not in any way affect the properties of the pan.
Good to know
- This cookware is suitable for use on all types of hobs.
- By placing the cookware on a hob with the same or a smaller diameter you can save energy.
- Always lift the cookware when moving it on a glass ceramic hob to avoid the risk of scratching the hob.
- Do not let the cookware boil dry since the base can become skew by overheating.
- Bear in mind that the cookware gets hot during use. Always handle with pot holders.
- The handle can be damaged by the flame when the cookware is used on a gas hob.
- Be careful not to hit or drop the cookware against a hard surface, because then the cookware can break.
- Do not expose the cookware to heavy variations in temperature, e.g. by moving it from the fridge directly to the cooker, due to the risk of cracking.
- The cookware is not suitable for acidic foods.
