Power on/off

Power on: press and hold for 2s until you hear the ‘power on’ prompt voice.

Power off: press and hold for 2s until you hear the ‘power off’ prompt voice and LED light off.
In paring mode but not connected beyond 5 mins, the Rugged speaker will power off automatically.

Bluetooth pairing

First press and hold for 2s until you hear the ‘power on’ prompt voice, the Blue LED will come on and blink. This means Rugged speaker is in pairing mode, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your audio source, and in a few moments, pairing name ‘WIRELESS SPEAKER’ will appear on your list, then press it to connect, the LED will flash blue every 5 seconds which means you are paired.

(Conveniently, From now on, when you turn on Rugged speaker it will automatically search for the last Bluetooth device it was paired with and reconnected)

Charging

The rugged speaker comes with a lithium-ion battery. For best result, fully charge Rugged speaker before use. (recommended output of charging the device is 1A)
To charge, plug the micro USB cable into the Rugged speaker and plug the standard USB connector into your device into your power source ( If the power source is Laptop, Desktop, much more charging time(5-6 hours) will be needed)
While charging the LED solid Red, fully charged, light off.

Trouble Shooting and Common Situations

Rugged Speaker cannot power on
Battery drain, please charge the device for 30 minutes, and then power on.
A smartphone cannot search Bluetooth Rugged Speaker

  1. Make sure the Rugged Speaker is in pairing mode ( blue LED flashing alternately)
  2. Delete the pairing list in the smartphone and search WIRELESS SPEAKER again.
  3. If it still cannot be found, please restart the smartphone and Rugged Speaker again.

Rugged Speaker will be disconnected from time to time

  1. The battery drain.
  2. The Rugged Speaker is beyond the communication range(10m).

No sound on talking mode

  1. Confirmed the Rugged Speaker connected to earpiece mode on talking.
  2. Try to volume up Rugged Speaker or smartphone.

No sound with music playing

  1. Try to volume up Speaker or smartphone.
  2. Rugged Speaker disconnected with a smartphone, please reconnect again.

Cannot charger for Rugged Speaker

  1. The charger cable connected was not well.
  2. The charger line was damaged.
