MX5 is a high performance device equipped with 4 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, one headphone output and one speaker output. MX5 is designed to be simple and easy to operate. Note:

  • After entering the treble/bass setting interface, change the parameter by pressing the volume up/down button, the setting is automatically saved after 5s of no operation.
  • Press and hold the C1/C2 button for 3 seconds to save the current program ( including input channel, output channel, volume, treble, bass and gain ), and”.. .” will be displayed after successfully saving.
  • Short press the C1/C2 button to use the corresponding program “L-A” has the same brightness as “L-2”. The differences lie in when there is no operation after 30 seconds under “L-A” mode, the screen will be automatically turned off, only displays the current input. For example, when it is in USB input, MX5 displays as follow. You can press any button to light up the screen.

When MX5 is in Bluetooth input state, keep pressing the brightness button for 3 seconds to disconnect the existing Bluetooth connection and forcibly enter into Bluetooth pairing state.

Operation

Power on & off / standby operation:

  1. Power on: When connect to power supply, MX5 enters the standby state, the screen displays a bright spot.
  2. Standby setting: When it is working, press and hold the knob on the front panel to enter standby state and short press to exit standby state when it is in standby. Or you can directly press the standby button on remote control to enter or exit standby state.

Note

  • When the digital input’s automatic standby function is on,if the current digital input is not connected or digital signal is invalid in 1 minute, it will automatically enter the standby state. Once having detected valid digital signal, it will automatically return to working state
  • When the analog input’s automatic standby function is on, if the current analog input is not connected or analog input signal is invalid in 10 minutes, it will automatically enter the standby state.Once having detected valid analog signal, it will automatically return to working state.
  • When this function is off, the icon for the analog input on the display is always on.

Volume setting

  • Mute setting and volume restoring: Use the mute button on the remote control to set mute, press the mute button again or adjust the volume to restore volume.
  • Volume adjusting: Adjust volume by the knob on the panel or up or down button on the remote control. Long press the volume up/down button will quickly adjust the volume, so please be careful in order to protect your hearing.

Input channel switching:

Press the knob on the front panel or the “Switch to previous input button” and the “Switch to next input button” on the remote control to switch the input in cycle.

Output channel switching:

Press the Output channel switching button on the remote control or double press the knob on the front panel to switch the output channel. indicates only power amp output; “0-2” indicates only headphone amp output; “0-3” indicates that both are outputting.

Setup Menu

Enter the setup menu:

Press and hold the knob first when the power is off, and then power up to enter the setup menu.

Change and save of settings

  1. The volume knob on the front panel: press the knob to enter the next setting item, rotate the knob to set different parameters. Press and hold the knob until “8-8” is displayed on the screen to save the settings.
  2. The remote control: press the volume up/down button to enter the previous/next setting item, press the left/right button to set different parameters. Press and hold the middle button until “8-8” is displayed on the screen to save the settings.

Factory reset:

In standby state, turn the knob on the front panel counterclockwise until the screen lights up completely, and the factory settings can be restored.

Precautions for daily use

  • The connection between MX5 and the speaker must be correct. L+ to the red jack (+ in) of the left speaker, L- to the black jack (- in) of the left speaker. Connection to the right channel is the same. Please ensure that step is correct before proceeding to the next step. MX5 is a amplifier with BTL output, the L- and R-jack are separate, they are not connected to the ground ora same point. So if you make a mistake at this step, maybe it will cause serious damage to MX5. Warranty is void when user’s error connection led to a damage.
  • Whether you need to connect or disconnect a cable, please turn off PA3 first.
  • To cut the power of AC adapter, please turn off PA3 first, then pull out the power cable or cut the power of adapter.
  • You must not keep the amplifier in a hot, humid environment or drop it.
  • Opening the case instantly voids the warranty!
  • In case where liquid is spilled into the machine, turn off the power immediately and check the device inspected by a professional before further use
  • Use TOPPING AC adapter only.
  • Maintain the volume so no distortion will have much better listening experience.
  • Indoor use only.
