TOPPING LA90 Desktop Amplifier

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the desktop amplifier LA90! The LA90 is a high- performance power amp. It is equipped with three balanced signal inputs and a 12V trigger input. We hope it could bring you more fun at enjoying music. Now we recommend first reading this manual for you to correctly use all the functions of LA90.

Front panel

1. Power & Input switch: Press to turn on or select other input, press and hold to turn off
2. Volume knob: Turn clockwise to turn up volume, turn counterclockwise to turn down volume
3. Input indicator

Rear panel

1. Stereo left channel balanced inputs/Mono balanced inputs (IN1-3)*

2. Stereo right channel balanced inputs (IN1-3)

3. Stereo R+ speaker output/Mono negative speaker output

4. Stereo R- speaker output

5. Stereo L+ speaker output/Mono positive speaker output

6. Stereo L- speaker output

7. Power input (Dc64V/3.75A)

8. 12V Trigger In
   When a device with 12V Trigger out jack is connected, LA90’s power on/standby can be controlled through this device

9. Firmware upgrade interface
   This interface is for firmware upgrade only

10. Volume setting

    • VOL: Enable volume control
    • BYPASS: Bypass the volume control

11. Amplifier mode

    • STEREO
    • MONO

12. Gain setting

    • LOW
    • HIGH

Connection

1. When LA90 is set to Stereo mode
   

2. When LA90 is set to MONO mode
   

Note:

1. Gray-out inputs &outputs do not work under MONO mode
2. Need to connect the gray speaker output terminals with jumper cable
3. You must use a speaker with a minimum of 8 ohms nominal impedance

Troubleshooting

Precautions for daily use

1. Any connections must refer to this user manual.
2. Ensure the output jack, including speakers L+, L-, R+, and R-do, does not short-circuit or connect to the ground.
3. Whether you need to connect or disconnect a cable, please turn off LA90 first.
4. To cut the power of the AC adapter, please turn off LA90 first, then pull out the power cable or cut the power of the adapter.
5. You must not keep the amplifier in a hot, humid environment or drop it.
6. Opening the case instantly voids the warranty!
7. In the case where the liquid is spilled into the machine, turn off the power immediately and check the device inspected by a professional before further use.
8. Use the TOPPING AC adapter only.
9. Maintain adequate volume with no distortion for the best listening experience.
10. Indoor use only.
11. Topping accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the failure of LA90.
