Getting Started

Download Safety 1st App
Download the Safety 1st Connected app by searching for Safety 1st in the app store

Setup

  1. Remove humidifier from packaging. Fill the tank with cool water and place onto base. See page 5 for Filling the Tank.
  2. Plug humidifier into power source. The nightlight under the humidifier will flash red and the device is now ready for pairing.
  3. On your mobile device, follow the step by step instructions in the Safety 1st Connected app for setup.
  4. Once paired, the Wi-Fi Connection icon on the control panel will light up (white).
  5. Explore the features and functionality within the Safety 1st Connected app

Wi-Fi Connectivity
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi internet connection is required. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength from your router.
To reduce signal interference or echoes, avoid placing the humidifier near major electrical appliances, large metal or concrete surfaces

Placement

Determine the ideal location for the humidifier ensuring that the power cord remains at least 3 ft (0.9 m) away from the crib. The humidifier should be placed on the floor or another flat surface, such as a side table. You may place a moisture-absorbing mat under the humidifier to avoid water leaking on the hard surface.

WARNING: NEVER place it on a rug or carpet, or on a finished floor that may be damaged by exposure to water or moisture.
STRANGULATION HAZARD-Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep this cord out of reach of children (more than 3 feet (0.9 m) away). Do not remove this tag. NEVER use an extension cord with the AC adapter

Filling Tank

  1. Remove the tank from the humidifier base and carry to a sink.
  2. Remove the lid by holding the sides and pulling it up and off of the tank.
  3. Fill the tank with cool water up to the MAX line on the inside of the DO NOT over fill. DO NOT add essential oils directly to water.
  4. Gently replace the lid and press down to secure it in place.
  5. Carry the filled tank by its sides with both hands and place onto the base.

Cleaning

Before cleaning, unplug the humidifier and empty all water from the tank

Cleaning the Ceramic Ball Filter (in Tank)
Clean the ceramic ball filter after using 264 gallons (1000L) water regularly. Depending on the water quality, the filter may need to be cleaned more frequently. It can be submerged in white vinegar for about 5 minutes. Rinse with clean water. Place filter outside in the sun or in a warm area until completely dry

Cleaning the Chimney (in Tank)
Remove the cap off the top of the chimney. Clean the chimney tube with clean water or white vinegar if there is scale. Use a dedicated bottle brush or long-handled sponge to remove scale. Rinse with clean water.

Cleaning the Transducer (in Base)
Clean with clean water or white vinegar if there is scale in the transducer. Use a dedicated bottle brush or sponge to remove scale. Rinse with clean water without submerging the base or spraying water directly from the faucet.

Cleaning the Humidifier Basin (in Base)
Clean the water basin with a soft cloth or use white vinegar if there is scale. If the scale is covering the security switch, pour white vinegar on it and let it sit for 2-5 minutes and clean it out with a dedicated bottle brush or sponge. Rinse with clean water without submerging the base or spraying water directly from the faucet

Disposal

Every effort has been made to ensure high standards of reliability of your product. However, if something does go wrong, please do not try to repair it yourself – contact Consumer Care for assistance.
At the end of the product life cycle, you should not dispose of this product with normal household waste. Takethis product to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you take them to a recycling point. By reusing some parts or raw materials from used products you make an important contribution to the protection of the environment. Please contact your recycling center in case you need more information on the collection points in your area

  • To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a 120VAC electrical outlet. DO NOT plug in the cord with wet hands.
  • Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs or near heat registers.
  • DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, if the appliance malfunctions, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user-serviceable parts.
  • Humidifier should be unplugged when not in use for extended periods of time.
  • DO NOT place humidifier near heat sources such as stoves, radiators, and heaters. DO locate your humidifier on an inside wall near an electrical outlet. The humidifier should be at least 12 inches (30.5 cm) away from the wall for best results.
  • DO NOT allow the mist outlets to directly face the wall. Moisture could cause damage, particularly to wallpaper.
  • NEVER place humidifier in an area where it is accessible to children.
  • NEVER use humidifier in a closed room, particularly where a child may be sleeping, resting, or playing (a closed room may result in excessive humidity).
  • NEVER tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the water tank and moving the unit.

  • This humidifier requires daily and weekly maintenance to operate appropriately. Refer to cleaning procedures. Use only cleaners recommended by the manufacturer.
  • NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings

THE USER SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO SERVICE OR REPAIR THE HUMIDIFIER. ALL SERVICING SHOULD BE REFERRED TO CONSUMER CARE.

It is essential to check reception regularly. Humidifier uses encrypted transmission over FCC managed frequencies. Always remember to password protect your Wi-Fi router.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • VENTILATION: DO NOT block ventilation openings. DO NOT place on a bed, sofa, rug or similar surface. DO NOT place in a bookcase or cabinet that may restrict air flow.
  • HEAT: The humidifier should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances that produce heat. Also keep these components out of direct sunlight.
  • POWER CORD PROTECTION: The power supply cord should be routed so that it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against it. Pay particular attention to the cord at the plug, convenience receptacle, and at the point it exits from the humidifier
