IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions carefully.
  2. To protect against risk of electric shock, do not put mixer, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
  3. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  4. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  5. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years old and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning  and user maintenance shall notbe made by children without supervision.
  6. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  7. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from power supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
  8. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  9. Do not use accessories other than those supplied with the appliance.
  10. Turn unit off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn off, grasp plug, and pull from wall. Never yank on cord.
  11. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils, away from beater, whisk or dough hooks during operation to prevent injury and / or damage to the mixer.
  12. Remove beaters from mixer before washing.
  13. Keep hands and other utensils out of container while blending food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the unit is not running.
  14. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  15. The use of attachments which are not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  16. Do not use outdoors.
  17. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
  18. Mixing flammable non-food substances can be harmful.
  19. Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
  20. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and / or flammable fumes.
  21. To disconnect, turn the control off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
  22. CAUTION: in order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INFORMATION

Polarized plug – the appliance has a polarized plug – one blade is wider than the other. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to remove this safety feature by modifying the plug in any way.
Suitable for food contact.

IF THE APPLIANCE IS DROPPED, PLEASE ASK PROFESSIONAL QUALIFIED PERSON TO CHECK BEFORE USING IT AGAIN. INTERNAL DAMAGE MAY CAUSE ACCIDENTS.

In order to be environmental friendly, we encourage you to dispose of the appliance. You can contact local authorities or recycling centres for more information.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS

  1. A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their uses.
  3. If a long detachable power supply cord or extension cord is used,
    • The marked electrical rating of the detachable power supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
    •  If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord, and
    •  The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

CAUTION: to ensure no electrical shock hazards:

  • Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet
  • Do not remove ground outlet
  • Do not use an adapter
  • Do not use an extension cord
  • Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PRODUCT

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove all packaging materials.
  2. Wash the parts. (see “Cleaning and maintenance”.)
  3. Before plugging in, make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the underside of your appliance.

HOW TO USE

CAUTION:

  • Never run the mixer for longer than 10 minutes – it will overheat. Let it cool down before operating again.
  • Don’t use the balloon whisk for heavy mixtures – you could damage it. Use only as indicated in below listed chart.

Using your mixer
How to attach bowl

  1. Turn speed control to OFF
  2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power
  3. Tilt motor head back
  4. Place the bowl on the bowl clamping plate.
  5. Turn the bowl clockwise to lock into base

How to remove bowl

  1. Turn speed control OFF.
  2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power.
  3. Tilt motor head back.
  4. Turn the bowl counterclockwise to unlock from base.

How to attach beater, dough hook or balloon whisk

  1. Turn speed control to OFF.
  2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power.
  3. Tilt motor head back.
  4. Slip beater onto beater shaft and press upward as far as possible.
  5. Turn beater counterclockwise, hooking beater over pin on shaft.
  6. Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.

How to remove beater, dough hook or balloon whisk

  1. Turn speed control OFF.
  2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power.
  3. Tilt motor head back.
  4. Press beater upward as far as possible and turn clockwise.
  5. Pull beater from beater shaft.

How to operate speed control
Speed control lever should always be set on the lowest speed for starting, then gradually moved to desired higher speed to avoid splashing ingredients out of bowl.
How to lock & unlock motor head

  1. Make sure motor head is completely down.
  2. Before mixing, test lock by attempting to raise head.
  3. Pull locking lever up to UNLOCK the motor head, tilt motor head  back gently.

How to attach splash guard

  1. Turn speed control to OFF.
  2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect. power.
  3. Unlock and pull up the motor head.
  4. Attach flat beater, dough hook, or wire whip and bowl.
  5. Place the splash guard over the opening of the bowl with the opened end of the splash guard away from you.

How to remove splash guard

  1. Turn speed control OFF.
  2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect power.
  3. Pull out the splash guard.

How to select accessories for use.

Beater – for normal to heavy mixtures:
Cakes
Creamed/butter frostings
Candies
Cookies
Pie pastry
Biscuits
Quick breads
Mashed potatoes

Balloon whisk – for mixtures that need incorporated air:
Eggs
Egg whites
Heavy cream
Boiled frostings
Sponge cakes
Mayonnaise

Dough hook – for mixing and kneading yeast dough:
Bread
Rolls
Buns
Pasta dough

Speed control guide

Speed Use for Description
1 Stirring Start all mixing at speed 1 for stirring

Combine dry ingredient prior to adding liquid ingredient
2-3| Slow Mixing| Combine dry ingredient and liquid ingredient
Mashing potatoes
Kneading yeast dough
4-6| Beating| Mixing semi-heavy batter e.g. Cookie dough
Finish cake mix, doughnut and other batters
7-8| Creaming, Beating| Creaming butter
Beating egg
9-10| Whipping| Whipping cream
Beating egg white and boiled frostings

CAUTION:

  1. For kneading yeast dough, always select speed 3 or lower. Using other speed higher than speed 3 may damage the mixer.
  2. Do not scrape the bowl while the stand mixer is operating.
  3. The bowl and beater are designed to provide thorough mixing without frequent scraping. Scraping the bowl once or twice during mixing is usually sufficient.
  4. Turn the stand mixer off before scraping.
  5. The stand mixer may warm up during use. Under heavy load with extended mixing time, you may not be able to comfortably touch the top of the stand mixer, this is normal.

THERMAL PROTECTION
Your stand mixer motor is equipped with an automatic thermal protection feature which will shut your motor off if it gets too hot. If this occur, turn the speed selector Off, unplug the unit and allow it to cool down. It is normal for the mixing head to become hot after prolonged use.
USING ACCESSORY ATTACHMENT
A number of OPTIONAL accessory attachments are available for use with your stand mixer. See the following general instructions for assembling and removing them.
ASSEMBLING OPTIONAL FRONT POWER HUB ATTACHMENTS

  1. Ensure stand mixer is turned off and the unit is unplugged.
  2. Flip the hub cover up, and then press down and hold the accessory release tab while inserting the accessory into the hub as far as it will go.
  3. Let go of the accessory release tab and rotate the attachment slightly left and right until you hear the locking pin click into place.
  4. To ensure your attachment is locked into place try pulling it out while not pressing down on the accessory release tab.

REMOVING FRONT POWER HUB ATTACHMENTS

  1. Turn stand mixer off and unplug from outlet.
  2. Press the attachment lock down and hold while pulling the accessory attachment out of the hub.

CARE AND CLEANING

  • Bowl and splash guard may be washed by dishwasher or using soapy water. Dry them completely before use again.
  • Beater, dough hook, balloon whisk must be washed immediately by hand using soapy water. Dry them completely before using them again. DO NOT clean by dishwasher.
    NOTE: always be sure to unplug the stand mixer before cleaning. Wipe the stand mixer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use household or commercial cleaners. Do not immerse in water. Wipe off the beater shaft frequently, removing any residue that may accumulate.

If this logo appears on the appliance, it signifies that it should be scrapped in line with directive 2012/19/UE relating Waste Electronic and Electric Equipment (WEEE).
All dangerous substances contained in electric and electronic equipment may exert deleterious effects on the environment and human health during processing.
This explains why at the end of its useful life this appliance should not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste.
As end consumer your role is essential in ensuring reuse, recycling or other form of value creation for this appliance. You have at your disposal several collection and recovery systems put in place by your local authority (recycling centre) and distributors.
You have the obligation of using these systems.
This product conforms to requirements of directives 2014/35/EU (superseding directive 73/23/CEE as modified by directive 93/68/CEE) and 2014/30/EU (superseding directive 89/336/CEE)
The warranty does not cover the wear parts of the product, nor the problems or damage resulting from:

  1. surface deterioration due to normal wear and tear of the product;
  2. defects or deterioration due to contact with liquids and corrosion caused by rust;
  3. any incident, abuse, misuse, alteration, disassembly or unauthorized repair;
  4. improper maintenance, improper use concerning the product or connection to an incorrect voltage;
  5. any use of accessories not supplied or not approved by the manufacturer.
    The guarantee will be cancelled if the nameplate and / or serial number of the product are removed.
