Operations
Mode | Light ON -Time | Works: Day Night |
---|---|---|
Test | 5 Seconds | × × |
Motion | 1,3 or 10 Minutes | × × |
D2D | 1,3 or 10 Minutes | × |
Manual | Light keep on Under this mode | × × |
Setting TIME
- Adjust the switch of “Time” can set the duration of lighting time when the sensor detect an object movement, then it will turn the light on (The duration time when the objects stop movement), it can be set to TEST,1MIN,3MIN,10MIN).
- When set on TEST(5sec) position, it is used to test for installation, which is not controlled by ambient lux, and the light will stay on for 5 seconds.
Setting Distance
-
The sensor can be adjusted clockwise or counter clockwise per requirement,, for the purpose of changing the detection scope
-
Adjust the “distance” switch to D2D position, the lamp will turn ON at dusk and turn OFF at Dawn when detect the motion.
-
Adjust the “distance ” switch can set the sensitivity of the sensor means changing the sensor’s detection distance, it can be positioned to high, mid and low.
-
To determine the detection scope of motion sensor need to perform a simulation test: walking in an across the front of the motion sensor.
The motion sensor is less sensitive if in a radial movement. As shown below (picture 1).
The motion sensor is more sensitive if in a lateral movement. As shown below (picture 2).
Setting MANUAL MODE
Adjust both the “distance” switch to D2D position, and “TIME” switch to TEST position at the same time. ,then it can fit in
Installations
For best performance, mount the fixture about 8ft(2.4m) above the ground.
Note: If fixture is mounted higher than 8ft(2.4m),aiming the sensor down
will reduce coverage distance.
- Shut off power.
- Install the mounting strap as shown using two screws that fit your juntion box.
- Route the light control`s wire and fixture wires as shown.Secure with wire connectors.
Note: L should be connected with the Black, N should be connected with White.
Installations advice:
- As the detector responds to changes in temperature, avoid the following situations:
- Avoid pointing the detector towards objects with highly reflective surfaces, such as mirrors etc.
- Avoid mounting the detector near heat sources, such as heating vents, air conditioning units, light etc.
- Avoid pointing the detector towards objects that may move in the wind, such as curtains, tall plants etc.
- This product in intend for use with the enclosed gasket and with a junction box marked for use in wet locations.
- When the air temperature is close to a person’s body heat, the detection sensitivity will reduce.
- This light requires a 120-Volt AC power source.
- Turn power off and test that power is off before installing the sensor.
- Install the height of the light fixture not lower than 1.8m, to avoid disturbance from small animals on the ground within detection range.
Warning. Danger of death through electric shock!
- Must be installed by professional electrician.
- Disconnect power source.
- Cover or shied any adjacent live components.
- Ensure device cannot be switched on.
- Check power supply is disconnected.
Maintenance
- Care and Cleaning
- To prolong the original appearance, suggest to clean the light fixture with clear water and a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use paints, solvents, or other chemicals on this sensor. They could cause a premature deterioration and damage to the finish. This is not a defect in the finish and will not be covered by the warranty.
- Do not spray the sensor with a hose or power washer.
Troubleshooting
- The load does not work:
- Please check if the connection of power source and load is correct.
- Please check if the load is good.
- Please check if the settings of working light correspond to ambient light.
- The sensitivity is poor:
- Please check if there is any hindrance in front of the detector to affect it to receive the signals.
- Please check if the ambient temperature is too high.
- Please check if the induction signal source is in the detection field.
- Please check if the installation height corresponds to the height required in the instruction.
- Please check if the moving orientation is correct.
- The sensor can not shut off the load automatically:
- Please check if there is continual signal in the detection field.
- Please check if the time delay is set to the maximum position
- Please check if the power corresponds to the instruction
