WARNINGS
Read, understand, and follow these instructions to ensure safe operation. Keep
these instructions for future reference.
These hearing protectors help reduce exposure to hazardous noise and other
loud sounds. Misuse or failure to wear hearing protection at all times that
you are exposed to noise may result in hearing loss or injury
- Silicone tips on earbuds do not provide hearing protection. Only memory foam tips on earbuds provide hearing protection.
- Use only appropriately sized Klein Tools memory foam tips for hearing protection in loud-noise environments. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the operating instructions section for proper fit.
- Prolonged exposure to high volumes can cause hearing damage. It is the responsibility of the user to set the audio input level to the recommended volume.
- DO NOT use this product in situations that require special attention: using noise reduction equipment and listening to audio can reduce awareness of the surrounding environment.
Failure to observe these warnings can result in risk of fire or electric shock.
- No user-serviceable parts inside. Do not open enclosure or attempt to repair the earbuds or charging case.
- DO NOT expose to direct sunlight, open flame, heat sources, equipment that produces heat, or extremes in environmental temperature.
- NEVER immerse charging case in water or other liquids. Avoid spilling liquids or dust into openings of charging case.
- Charging case cover and USB-C port cover must be properly sealed to achieve specified water & foreign object ingress protection. Keep free of dirt, oil, sand, or other material that interferes with proper sealing. Failure to do so can result in risk of fire or electric shock.
- DO NOT open the charging case cover or USB-C port cover if wet or in a wet environment. Dry the charging case thoroughly before opening the charging case cover or USB-C port cover.
- When the case is charging, make sure there is adequate space to allow ventilation of internally generated heat.
- Use safety-rated power supply or wall adapter. Never use power supply or wall adapter that exceeds the specified charging voltage and current.
- Route the power supply cable so that it will not be stepped on or pinched by other objects.

NOISE REDUCTION RATING (NRR)
The NRR for the AESEB1 Bluetooth® Jobsite Earbuds is 28dB. It is tested and in accordance with ANSI S3.19-1974. To ensure adequate hearing protection, the provided memory foam tips must be used with the Bluetooth® Jobsite Earbuds.

The level of noise entering a person’s ear when the hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-Weighted environmental noise level and the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR).
EXAMPLE:
- The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 93dB(A).
- The NRR is 28dB.
- The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 65dB(A).
CAUTION: For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used.
NOTE: Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire. The Environmental Protection Agency uses the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) as a rating of a hearing protector’s noise-reducing performance. Klein Tools cannot guarantee the suitability of the NRR as a method of rating protection as protection relies on the level and exposure of sound and how well a product fits.

USING MEMORY FOAM TIPS ⑪ FOR HEARING PROTECTION
WARNING: Inspect before each use. Damage to the memory foam tip can reduce noise reduction performance.
Select one of the three sets of memory foam tips that best fit your ear canal. Inspect each tip for dirt and damage before use.
- With clean hands, roll and compress the memory foam tips along the stem of the earbud (FIG. B).
- Reach over your head with free hand to pull your ear up and back and insert the memory foam tip portion of the earbud as deep as possible (FIG. C).
- Hold the earbuds and wait 30 to 40 seconds, until the memory foam tips are fully expanded.
- Rotate the earbuds if necessary to make sure the earbuds rest firmly and securely inside the inner ear (FIG. D).
