PLEASE READ THIS OWNER’S MANUAL COMPLETELY BEFORE OPERATING THIS UNIT AND
STORE THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- Do not use this product near water or moisture.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning.
- Place the unit on a solid surface.
- Do not put it in a closed bookcase or a cabinet that may keep air from flowing through its ventilation openings.
- Do not install near any heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs and the point where they exit from the product.
- Servicing is required when the product has been damaged. Do not attempt to service this product yourself.
- Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other hazards. Please contact the manufacturer to be referred to an authorized service center near you.
- To prevent risk of fire or electric shock, avoid overloading wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles.
- Do not let objects or liquids enter the product.
- Use proper power sources. Plug the product into a proper power source, as described in the operating instructions or as marked on the product.

Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the package.
Please verify that you have all the following accessories before recycling the
gift box.

UNDERSTANDING THE CONTROL FUNCTIONS
QUICK SETUP
Fully extend the Telescopic antenna to ensure good reception in both DAB and
FM Radio modes. It may be necessary to alter the position of the DAB Digital
Radio and/or the Telescopic antenna to achieve the best signal.

.Connect the power cable to the input in the side of the CR2+ and then plug the cable into an outlet or insert the four “AA” batteries into the battery compartment to power on.

Fully extend the rear telescoping antenna.

Press the Power knob on the front to turn on the CR2+.

When powered on for the first time in DAB mode, the CR2+ will initiate an auto scan. When complete, The display will indicate how many stations were received. Be sure
the rear antenna is fully extended during the auto scan. -
Press the SOURCE button to select the desired source.

Adjust the volume to the desired level using the SELECT knob.

In DAB mode, the TUNE+/TUNE- button allows you to navigate between different stations.
GUIDE TO FEATURES
1. PRESET1/2/3/4+: Preset 20 DAB stations and 20 FM favorite stations.
Store a station to the preset list – to store a station, selected your desired
radio station, then press and hold the PRESET 1/2/3 button for a second until
the LCD display Preset store #:(Empty)” to fig.17, or“#: saved radio station”
to fig.18. There are 20 DAB presets and 20 FM presets.
Either press the TUNE+/TUNE- button to select your desired station preset
number or rotate and push on the SELECT knob to confirm your selection, the
display will show
“Preset # Stored” to fig.19.
Recall a station from the Preset list

To recall a preset station, press the “4+” button once, or rotate the Select knob to select presets station that you have stored. When the display shows your desired preset number push the SELECT knob to confirm.
Note: If you choose a preset that hasn’t been allocated a station, then “Empty” will be displayed. -
TUNE+/ : Press to select the next track under FM/DAB mode; Press and hold the Tune+ button 2 seconds to auto-scan the stations under the FM /DAB mode.

TUNE-/ : Press to select the previous track under FM/DAB mode; Press and hold the Tune- button 2 seconds to auto-scan the stations under the FM/DAB mode.

Menu: press the MENU to show the MENU for the current model. Press again to show now playing screen. .

BACK: Press the BACK to return to the previous screen.

: In DAB/FM mode, press and hold the PLAY & PAUSE button, it will automatically scan for the available radio stations.

SELECT/ POWER/VOLUME/MUTE/SNOOZE:
a. SELECT: Rotate the SELECT knob scroll through a menu or station list. Press
to the SELECT knob to select the chosen option.
b. POWER: Turn on or back to standby mode (showing clock and date), or cancel
sleep, or cancel alarm function.
- Push to power the CR2+ On or Off (Standby). When powered on for the first time in DAB mode, It will automatically scan for the available radio stations to fig.1.
- When your CR2+ is using a power adapter, press the POWER knob to switch ‘on’ and ‘standby’ to fig.2. Unplug the power adapter to turn off your CR2+ completely.
- When your CR2+ is using batteries, press the SELECT knob to switch ‘on’ and
‘off’.
c. VOLUME: Rotate the SELECT knob to adjust the volume up or down during playback.
d. MUTE: Press the SELECT knob to mute the music when playing.
e. SNOOZE: Press the scroll button to snooze a set time when the alarm sounds.
8 . Info: When in DAB mode, briefly press repeatedly to view DLS [Dynamic Label Segment], signal strength, PTY [Programme Type], ensemble, frequency, signal quality, bit rate codec, time, date. In FM mode, view radio text, PTY [Programme Type], PS [Programme Service], stereo/mono, time, date etc.
9. SOURCE: Briefly press to cycle through the sources: DAB, FM. In FM mode, CR2+ will tune to the start of the available FM range (87.50MHz) or the last FM station listed to fig.3. To manually change the FM frequency, make sure that you have not selected any other sub-menus. Turn the TUNE+/TUNE- to change the frequency by 0.05MHz.
DAB mode

In DAB mode, press the MENU button to enter the menu list to fig.4. Press the TUNE+/TUNE – button to select option through the list of menu or rotate SELECT knob to scroll the menu list. Then, stop at your preferred option and Push the SELECT knob to confirm. The menu options are: full scan/ manual tune/ DRC /prune/ system. Full scan – under menu list, rotate the SELECT knob to select
“Full scan“through the list of menus, Push the knob to confirm and full scan starts automatically to fig.4. Once a scan is completed, the radio returns to play the previously-selected station or first station on the station list. -
Note: if no radio station is found, it shows “No DAB station”. For better reception, extend the antenna or do the full scan again in another place.

Manual tune – as well as the normal method of scanning, you can also manually tune to a particular channel/frequency. This can be useful for adjusting your antenna to achieve the best possible reception and scanning a particular channel to update the station list. Under the menu list, press the TUNE + button or rotate the SELECT knob to select “Manual tune” through the list of menus, Push the SELECT knob to confirm. Rotate the SELECT knob to select a particular channel/frequency and then Push SELECT button to confirm the setting to fig.5. The display shows a live indication of the received signal strength on the selected frequency. Adjustments to your antenna will be manifested in the received signal strength displayed.

DRC (Dynamic range compression) – this function reduces the difference between the loudest and quietest audio being broadcast. Effectively, this makes quiet sounds
comparatively louder and loud sounds comparatively quieter. Options: off (default)/high/low under menu list, press the TUNE+/TUNE – button or Rotate the SELECT knob to select “DRC” through the list of menu, Push SELECT button to confirm. Then press the TUNE+/TUNE- button or Rotate the SELECT knob to select a particular setting and Push SELECT knob to confirm the setting to fig.6. -
Prune – this removes all invalid stations indicated in the station list with a ‘?’ in front of the station name. Under menu list, Rotate SELECT knob to select “Prune” through the list of menu, Push the SELECT knob to confirm to fig.7.

System – the System menu options are: Sleep /Alarm / Equaliser / Time / Backlight / Language/, Factory Reset / Software upgrade / SW version to fig.8.
6.1 Sleep – when listening to the radio you can set a period of time before the radio enters ‘standby’ mode. Note: the radio must be active and not in ‘standby’ mode already.
Under the system menu, Rotate SELECT knob to select through the list of
menu, push in SELECT knob to confirm Sleep to fig.9. Then press the
TUNE-/TUNE+ button or rotate the SELECT knob to select < sleep off / 15mins /
30mins / 45mins / 60mins / 90mins > and Push SELECT knob to confirm.
6.2 Alarm- Press Menu>System setting> Alarm. There are 2 Alarms, you can
press and hold Play/Pause button to switch to Alarm 2. Alarm 1 set up: Press
SELECT knob to set on time/Source/ Frequency / Volume then push SELECT
knob to confirm the settings.

6.3. Time – if there is any DAB+ radio signal, the machine will automatically
update the time, there is no signal, can also be set manually to fig.10.
Set Time/Date: set hour / set minute / set month / set date> set year > saved
Auto update options: update from Any / update from DAB / update from FM / no update
Set 12/24 hour: 12hour/24 hours
Set date format: DD-MM-YYYY.
6.4. Backlight – t his radio display has a backlight that can be
adjustable. You can select the time out of the display backlight of your
radio. Under the system menu, press the TUNE+/TUNE- button or rotate the
SELECT knob to select “Backlight” through the list of menu,
Push the SELECT knob to confirm to fig.11.
You can now use the TUNE+/TUNE – button or rotate SELECT knob to
select < 10sec / 20sec / 30sec / 45sec / 60sec / 90sec / 120sec / 180sec / On
, and Push SELECT knob to confirm.
6.5. Language – the language used for display messages can be selected
from the below options: English | Espanol | Francais | Italiano |
Nederlands | Norsk | Polski Suomi | Dansk | Deutsch. Under the system menu,
press the TUNE+/TUNE – button or rotate the SELECT knob to select
“Language” through the list of menu, Push the SELECT knob to confirm to
fig.12. Cycle through the Language menu by press the TUNE+/TUNE- button or
rotating the SELECT knob to select, select and stop at a particular
language, Push the SELECT knob to confirm.
6.6. Factory Reset – this function clears all user-defined settings, replacing
them with the original default values, so time/date, preferences/settings, DAB
station list and
preset stations are all lost.
Under the system menu, Rotate the SELECT knob to select “Factory Reset”
through the list of menus, Push the SELECT knob to confirm to fig.13. Then, or
rotate the SELECT knob to choose < Yes > and Push the SELECT knob to start
the factory reset.
6.7. Software Upgrade- From time to time, CR2+ may make software upgrades
available with bug fixes and/or additional features. This feature is for the
service center.
6.8. Software version – this is used to display the current software version.
Under the system menu, or rotate the SELECT knob to select “Software
version” through the list of menu fig.14, Push the SELECT knob to confirm.
Then, the existing SW version will be shown.
FM mode
1. If the CR2+ is in FM mode, press the MENU button to enter the menu
list to fig.15. Rotate the SELECT knob to select options through the list
of menus. Then, stop at your preferred option and Push the SELECT knob to
confirm. The menu options are: scan setting, audio setting, and system.
. Scan setting – by default, FM scans stop at Strong stations only. Options:
Strong stations only / All stations under menu list, rotate the SELECT
knob to select a particular option in “Scan setting”, then Push the SELECT
knob to confirm the change to new setting to fig15. 2
3. Audio setting – by default, all stereo stations are reproduced in stereo.
For weak stations, this may result in poor-quality audio. The audio quality
can be improved using mono. Options: Stereo allowed Forced mono under menu
list, rotate the SELECT knob to select a particular option in “Audio
setting” , then Push the SELECT knob to confirm the change to new setting.
It will automatically change to new setting after 3 seconds.
