How to pair H5053-sx sensor to the gateway H5041?
Each set of the sensor and the gateway are paired by default. After the gateway is connected, the sensor will show up directly. You will only need these steps if you accidentally delete the sensor.
- Press the 433 key (on-off button) on the gateway for 3 seconds until the light flashes red and blue alternately
- Put the sensor next the gateway, take out the batteries and re-install them
- The light will flash quickly blue
- When the light become solid blue, it indicates that the sensor has been paired with the gateway

How to find the mac address for the WiFi temperature humidity sensor?
- Enable a personal Hotspot on an Android phone.
- Connect your phone to the Android phone’s Hotspot.
- Click the + icon on Govee Home app, follow the guide to connect the thermometers hygrometers to the Andriod phone’s Hotspot
- Go to the Android phone and check the connected device.
- Find the Mac address.
What should I do if the app can not find my Bluetooth device?
Please make sure you are in Bluetooth range, you have turned on your phone Bluetooth, GPS/Location, click the + icon, search the device on the Govee Home app, not your phone Bluetooth list.
If the app can not find a Bluetooth device, here are several options to try
- Turn off your phone Bluetooth, turn on it, and try one more time
- Kill the app in the background of the phone and reopen it
- Uninstall the battery of the sensor, re-install it
- Power cycle your phone

What could I do if H5053-sx shows malfunction?

Please shorten the distance between the gateway and the sensor as much as possible.
Put the sensor next to the gateway, take out the batteries, re-install them, check if the problem fixed. -
If the sensor shows a low battery status on the app, please replace 2 disposable alkaline dry batteries.

I exported data from all devices, but I only received 1 or 2 emails.
For Bluetooth temperature sensors, before choosing this option, please be in Bluetooth range when selecting the graph page and wait until it is 100% loaded. When the graph page is loaded 100%, the latest data is uploaded to the app.

What should I do if H5179/H5051/H5071 loses Wi-Fi connection?
Sometimes the temp sensor will lose Wi-Fi connection because the network is not available.
1. You can wait for the sensor to reconnect itself. The device will try to reconnect to Wi-Fi automatically every 10/30 minutes, depending on the upload frequency you choose.
2. You can also reset Wi-Fi manually in Bluetooth range.
- Please be in Bluetooth range, turn on your phone Bluetooth, GPS/location.
- Tap the sensor on the device list, waiting for the graph page loaded 100%,
- Tap the settings icon on the upper right corner, enter the settings page.
- Reset Wi-Fi, then enter your Wi-Fi password.
3. A low battery status may cause poor Wi-Fi connection, please replace battery if needed.
4. If possible, please set 2 different SSID for the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and the 5Ghz Wi-Fi, then connect the temperature sensor to the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi.

How to set a temperature/humidity range?
Please note that you need to be in Bluetooth range to enter the settings page. We have attached the video.
- Click the sensor on the “My device” list on the App.
- Wait for the graph page loaded 100%. Then click the “Setting” icon on the upper right corner.
- Slide to set the alarm temp/humidity range.

How to connect H5179/H5051/H5071/H5053 to Alexa?
Here are the steps to connect Govee to Alexa:
Step 1 :Please set a name for your device in the Govee Home App, such as
“Bedroom”.
Step 2 :Search for “Govee Home” and enable it in the Amazon Alexa App.
Step 3 :Follow the Amazon Alexa instructions to sign in to your Govee
Home account in the Alexa App.
Step 4 :The next step is to discover your smart device in the Alexa app.
The two ways to do this are:
- Tap “Add device” and choose “other”, then tap “Discover Devices” on the next page.
- Say “Alexa, discover devices.”
Step 5 :Now you can control your device through Alexa.
Supported commands:
Alexa, what’s the [device name] temperature?

What could I do if the app can not find Bluetooth device?
Please make sure you are in Bluetooth range, you have turned on your phone Bluetooth, GPS/Location, click the + icon, search the device on Govee Home app, not your phone Bluetooth list.

For Bluetooth temperature sensor, before choose this option, please be in Bluetooth range to enter each device’s graph page and wait for loaded 100%. When the graph page loaded 100%, the latest data is uploaded to the app.

How to calibrate the temperature and humidity on the App?
The device has been calibrated by precision instrument already. Normally it does not need to be calibrated again.
In our App, there is a calibration settings.
Click “the sensor on the App—> the settings icon on the upper right corner—>calibration”, you can adjust the temperature and humidity there.
How to export data?
Please log in with your account firstly. If you do not have a Govee account, please click sign up to create one. Please note that the password should be a combination of 8-20 letters and numbers, without any special character.
Here are the steps on how to export data:
- Please wait after the graph page loaded 100%. Click the “Export data” on the bottom of the graph page.
- Fill in a mailbox to receive the CSV file or just choose “send to the account mail”.
- Choose “interval of data”.
- Choose “the period of exporting the data” Please make sure the period you choose has data on the App.
- Click the “send icon” on the upper right corner.

How to connect the temperature sensor to Bluetooth/Wi-Fi?
Here are the detailed steps.

Download Govee Home App in Appstore for iPhone, or Google Play for Android

Create Govee account with your email address, text new password, confirm it, then log in.

Please turn on your phone Bluetooth, GPS/Location.
Please allow Govee Home App Bluetooth access and location access.
Phone setting–>Search Govee Home–>Location -
Open Govee Home App, click My Devices, and the “+” icon on the top right corner of the page.

Search the product model. The product model is printed on the back of the sensor.

As for Wi-Fi temperature sensor H5051 and H5071, after the sensor is connected to Bluetooth, the App will ask you to choose the 2.4Ghz Wi-FI and enter Wi-Fi password.

What could I do if the Bluetooth temperature sensor does not update data
on the App?
Devices that have been added will not Appear in the scanning list. You do not need to rescan the temperature sensor on Govee Home App. Here are several methods:
- Please make sure you are in Bluetooth range with your phone Bluetooth, Location/GPS on,swipe down “My device” list on the App.
- Please turn off your phone Bluetooth, turn on it again, swipe down “My device” list.
- If the problem still exists, please reboot your phone and swipe down “My device” list.

Why can’t I receive push notification?
When the temperature or humidity goes out of the range you set, the graph will turn red, and you will receive a push notification.
1. Allow Govee Home App to send notification.
2. Set a temperature/humidity range.
- Be in Bluetooth range, click the sensor on “My device” list on the App.
- Wait for the graph page loaded 100%. Then click the “Setting” icon on the upper right corner.
- Slide to set the alarm temp/humidity range.
3. For Wi-Fi temperature sensor H5051 and H5071, make sure the sensor is connected to Wi-Fi. If it is connected to Wi-Fi, it will be a blue Wi-Fi icon.
For Bluetooth temperature sensor, make sure you are in Bluetooth range, your phone has turned on Bluetooth, GPS/location.

Can I connect multiple temperature sensors to 1 account?
Yes, there is no limitation. Please click the “+” icon to add other Govee devices.
What is the operating temperature of the temp sensor? Can I put it in
refrigerator?
It’s not recommend to Apply the sensors to the refrigerator or freezer. Low- temperature circumstance will shorten the battery life and affect the devices’ connection.
The Appropriate working temperature range is: 14°F – 140°F/-10°C – 60°C.
H5075 is a special case. H5075’s temperature range is 32°F-122°F/0°C-50°C.
How to rename the sensor?
Click “the sensor on the device list—-the settings icon on upper right corner—-rename the sensor”.
If the app will notify me when the battery is about to run out?
Yes, you will receive a notification. You can also check the battery status on the device list.
How to switch temperature units?
For the app, click the F or C on the upper right corner of the graph.
For the sensors, please click the button on sensor once to switch the temperature units. H5051 is a special case, you need to double-click the button to switch the temperature units.
Can the temp sensor be used outdoors?
The temp sensor is not water-proof. Please place it in a sheltered place.
