Govee Smart Plug FAQ

Why this smart plug H5081 failed to connect to my WiFi network?

  1. Please make sure that you did search H5081, not H7014 in the Govee Home app.
  2. Long-press the power button over 5 seconds until it flashes blue marking slowly.
  3. Only support 2.4Ghz WiFi network. If the router supports dual-frequency, please turn off 5GHz before the first connection, or set a different SSID for your 2.4G&5G, then connect this device to the 2.4G.

Here are some troubleshooting:

  1. Delete1 this device from the app
  2. Re-install the Govee Home app, and log in with your Govee account.
  3. Allow the Govee app to access to your Location while using the app, activate Bluetooth&WiFi permission.
  4. Re-start your mobile phone
  5. Reboot your wifi router.

How to switch 5G WiFi network to 2.4G if my WiFi router supports dual-

frequency?

 If your WiFi router supports dual-frequency, here are 2 solutions to switch to the 2.4G:

1. Turn off the 5G physical button on the wifi router.

2. Log into the wifi router.net, set different SSID for your dual bands, and then connect this device to the 2.4G WiFi name. Here is a picture to show more details:
