What’s Included with The Camera
- A. Camera
- B. OBD Power Adapter
- C. Suction Beam: Arm
- D. Suction Beam: Tails
- E. Cable Ties
- F. Tuck Stick
Installation
Power Adapter & Cable Ties
Look under the steering wheel to find the OBDII port and plug in the Y
splitter. Plug in the OBD tracker and the camera’s OBD power adapter into
either end of the Y splitter. Next, use the flexible cable ties to secure the
cable under your dashboard and prevent any slack from hanging in the footwell.
Tuck Stick
Route the cable up the doorjamb to the windshield and extend it past the
center of the dashboard. Use the Tuck Stick to hide the cable in the gap
between the dashboard and windshield.
Suction Beam
Select a tail length (we recommend the 5” to start) and slide it onto the arm.
Insert the cable ball into the beam and route the cable down to the notch on
the tail. Center the beam on the dashboard and gently push the tail against
the windshield. Moisten the suction cup. Lift and push the suction cup against
the windshield using your thumb, then push the lever to securely lock in
place. We recommend using the shortest tail possible, so the driver has the
best view forward. Longer tails may be needed to achieve the best inside
camera view.
Camera
Plug the cable into the camera and mount it onto the beam. Use the Tuck Stick
to tidy up any loose cable on the dashboard.
Using Your Camera
Record a Clip
- To save your first clip, say “OK Presto.”
- When you hear the beep, name your clip by saying a short title (example: “That truck ran a red light”).
- Clips are automatically available in the Linxup portal or app under Videos.
You are ultimately responsible for compliance with any applicable laws and Linxup is not responsible should you use any Linxup equipment or services in violation of applicable laws.
Settings Menu
- Tap the touchscreen on the camera display to access the settings menu where you can turn off the display, the inside camera, and more.
- When “Tap to create a clip” is enabled, a menu icon will appear on screen for the next time you need to access the settings menu.
Tips
-
All your video is Privacy-Locked.
Only you can see, share, or delete your video. -
Your camera records even when you’re out of coverage.
When you’re back in coverage, your videos will transfer to the cloud. -
Leave your dash cam plugged in.
The camera provides 24/7 protection in and around your fleet, even with engines off. -
There’s a fan inside, working to keep things cool.
It will automatically turn on as needed. -
Try different tail lengths.
Shorter tails ensure a low-profile camera; longer tails improve the interior view.
