Warranty
- This luminaire is covered by a 12 month warranty. The warranty is from date of purchase, not the date of installation.
- If the luminaire is not installed by a licensed electrician the warranty will be void.
- Please retain proof of purchase and evidence of installation by a licensed electrician for any warranty claims.
- Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the luminaire.
- Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.
Installation Requirements
- Must be installed by a licensed electrician.
- All wiring and installation of the luminaire must adhere to latest local and national wiring rules. eg. AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations.
- This luminaire is a Class I product and must be earthed.
- This luminaire is rated IP23 / IP44, this must be maintained during wiring and installation.
NOTE: The product is rated IP23 when the bottom shade (J) is NOT installed. The product is rated IP44 when the bottom shade (J) is installed.

Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

Select a suitable location for installation:
− The mounting point must be able to support 2 times the weight of the luminaire.
− This luminaire is protected against water penetration to IP23 standards, which is splashing water at the angle up to 60° on either side of the vertical. -
Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection.

Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure there are no components missing before assembling. If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.

Check whether the luminaire has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.

Ensure power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.
Installation Directions
- Remove all packaging material from the product and be careful not to throw away accessories that may be hidden within the packaging material.
- Use the mounting bracket (B) as a template to mark the screw positions on the wall. Drill holes into the wall. NOTE: In order to achieve the best performance of the microwave sensor, the ideal mounting height of the luminaire is between 2M – 3.5M above the detection area.
- Install the mounting bracket (B) on the wall by using appropriately sized mounting screws (C) and anchors (A). Ensure the screws and anchors used are suitable for the mounting surface and surrounding environment.
- Remove the terminal box cover (D) to access the terminal block and connect the mains supply wires.
Mains Supply Wire
Earth – Yellow/Green
Neutral – Blue or Black
Live – Brown or Red
Luminaire Wires
Yellow/Green or Blue or N
Brown or L
Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Install the cover (D) back onto the terminal box.
Installation Instructions
Place the terminal box in the cavity (F) at the rear of the frame assembly.
NOTE: A non-corrosive bead of silicone MUST be applied before
installation onto the wall ensuring that no water can run down into the
cabling.
5. Install the luminaire onto the mounting bracket (B), then secure by tightening the 2 screws (E) on the side.
6. Install a globe (H – not included) into the lamp holder (G). Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
7. Install the bottom shade (J) onto the luminaire by tightening the four screws (I) according to the need of the IP requirement.
NOTE: Check the latest local wiring rule (e.g.AS/NZS 3000 in Australia) to decide the IP requirement of the installation location.
NOTE: The product is rated IP23 when the bottom shade (J) is NOT installed.
The product is rated IP44 when the bottom shade (J) is installed.
8. Check that all parts are secured tightly before turning the power on.
9. Set up the microwave sensor by the remote control provided (For more details refer to ‘Microwave sensor set up’ section).
NOTE: MV sensor is sensitive to any moving objects. Vibration of the filament in the carbon filament lamps might also trigger the MV sensor. The light will switch off once the filament become static.
Microwave Sensor Set Up
The luminaire includes microwave sensor. The sensor can be set up by the remote control provided as the following.
- The luminaire must be power on before setting up.
- Use the remote control to set the parameters. Press ‘reset’ to enter the set-up mode, then follow the below diagram to set up according to your need.
NOTE: The working distance from the remote control to the luminaire is
1M. Make sure you operate the remote control within this range while setting
up.
NOTE: The light will flicker when pressing any button.
Battery Tips and Warnings for the transmitter
There is a button battery (3V CR2025) included in the remote control.
- WARNING – KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- CAUTION – Do not ingest battery—Chemical burn hazard.
- If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.
- If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
- If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately call the 24-hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for fast, expert advice.
- Regularly check the product and make sure the battery box lid is correctly secured. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If the battery box lid has been cracked or damaged, do not continue to use this product.
- Dispose of used batteries immediately and safely (so they cannot be retrieved by children). Flat batteries can still be dangerous.
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
- Batteries shall only be installed or replaced by an adult. Securely tighten the battery box lid after replacement.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries in this product.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- Ensure the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
- Remove batteries from the product when not in use for long periods of time.
Safety Tips
- Always ensure the power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before performing any maintenance, cleaning, changing the globe or making any adjustment to the luminaire.
- The luminaire must not be used if the shade has been cracked or damaged. Replace any cracked protective shield.
- To avoid injury or damage to the luminaire, ensure that power leads and screws are secure before connecting the power.
- To clean, wipe with a soft damp cloth. Do NOT soak or immerse the product in water or other liquids.
- Ensure that the luminaire does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals/solvents or abrasive cleaners etc.
