INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing Hope the Healing Husky™. Translate  Hope’s barks through her Magic Stethoscope! Hold it to her chest to understand what she needs you to do! Hope talks, moves and makes different sounds to show you if she’s hungry, has a cold, has hurt her leg or feels itchy. Use her accessories to make sure she gets what she needs.

How to Exit Try-Me Mode

When you play with Hope the Healing Husky™ for the first time, slide the switch from    the position to the    position and wait for a few seconds to exit Try-Me mode. You will hear three beeps when you have exited Try-Me mode. You can then press any button to activate the unit and start playing.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Find the battery cover located on the back of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. Install 4 new AA (LR6/AM-3) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box.
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

WARNING:

Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Off/Low/High Volume Switch

Locate this switch on the bottom of the unit. To turn the unit On , slide the Off/Low/High Volume Switch to the Low Volume  or High Volume position. To turn the unit Off , slide the  Off/Low/High Volume Switch to the Off . position.

Motion

Hope will move her head, wiggle her ears, blink her eyes, sit up and lay down.
NOTE: Do not turn Hope’s head manually and do not force Hope to lie down or sit
up manually, otherwise the unit may get damaged.

Magic Stethoscope

The Magic Stethoscope will translate Hope’s cute sounds into words. At anytime, you can hold the Magic Stethoscope against Hope’s chest to hear her speak.

Forehead Button

Touch Hope’s forehead to hear cute puppy responses or a sing-along song.

Back Button

Press Hope’s Back Button to scratch her back or hear cute sounds and barks.

Ear Button

Use the Thermometer to take Hope’s temperature from her left ear and hear cute responses.

Heart-Shaped Button

Use the Syringe to give Hope an injection on the Heart-Shaped Button on her back.

Bone Treat

Feed Hope by pressing the Bone Treat to her Mouth Button.

Bandage

If Hope hurts her left leg, place a Bandage on it to trigger her Leg Button.

Recovery Collar

Put the Recovery Collar on Hope’s neck to protect her when she is ill.

Storage Bag

Use the Storage Bag to store all of Hope’s small accessories.

Automatic Shut-Off

To preserve battery life, Hope the Healing Husky™ will automatically power down after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by switching between the Low Volume and High Volume levels, or by pressing any button.

NOTE: Hope the Healing Husky’s chest will flash several times and power down when the unit’s battery level is low. If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest installing a new set of batteries.

ACTIVITIES

Hope the Healing Husky™ reacts to different situations. When she is inactive or you play with her for a while, she will enter one of these situations. Sometimes she is happy and wants to play with you; sometimes she will get ill, sleepy or hungry and want you to take care of her. When in a specific situation, you can press any button to play with her. Once you’ve helped out Hope, she’ll return to her standard mode. Please note you may need to trigger the multiple times before she returns to her standard mode. At anytime, you can place the Magic Stethoscope on Hope’s chest to hear her talk.

Happy

Press Hope’s Forehead Button to hear her sing a song.

Silly

a. Peek-a-Boo
Press Hope’s Forehead Button to play peek-a-boo and hear her sing a song.
b. Tickle
Press one of Hope’s other buttons to try to tickle her and hear her cute responses.

Eager for Attention

Press any button to play with her.

Getting a Cold

If Hope sneezes or says she has a cold, use the Syringe to give her an injection on the Heart-Shaped Button. Once finished, Hope will feel better.

Has a Fever

If Hope says she has a fever, use the Thermometer to take her temperature in her ear and then use the Syringe to give her an injection on the Heart-Shaped Button.

Leg is Hurt

If Hope’s left leg gets hurt. Hope will feel better if you put the Bandage on her left leg.

Itchy (Ear or Back)

Hope’s back or ear is itchy. You have to figure out which it is! Press her Ear Button or Back Button to help her feel better.

Sleepy

Press Hope’s Forehead Button or Back Button to help her sleep.

Hungry

It’s food time! Hope’s tummy is rumbling. Feed her the Bone Treat by pressing it to her Mouth Button.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn the unit Off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
