Safety and handling
Please read these instructions before using the SpaceTrace tags.
- Wear a SpaceTrace tag visible at all times. For best performance, avoid carrying it inside a pocket or in direct contact with metal.
- A SpaceTrace tag may present a choking hazard or cause another injury to small children. Keep the SpaceTrace tags away from small children.
- Handle the SpaceTrace tags with care. The SpaceTrace tag contains sensitive electronic components that can be damaged if dropped, bent, or crushed. Don’t use a damaged SpaceTrace tag.
Use
- Turn on the SpaceTrace tag by pressing the button until the LED lights up
- Wear the SpaceTrace tag hanging from your badge, on a lanyard, or attached to a safety vest
- Recharge every night
Airplane mode
- Turn off Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband by issuing a command from the SpaceTrace App
- Turn on Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband by pressing the button for 1 second until the light blinks 3 times
Battery To prevent battery damage, do not attempt to remove or replace the battery of a SpaceTrace tag. A damaged battery can cause overheating and injury.
Charging
Charge by connecting up to 48 SpaceTrace tags directly to a SpaceTrace charger. Alternatively, use any USB-C charger capable of sourcing at least 5V 0.5A.
Medical device interference
The SpaceTrace tag contains radios that transmit electromagnetic fields that can cause interference with medical devices (e.g. pacemakers, defibrillators, etc). Maintain a distance between your medical device and the SpaceTrace tag. Stop using the SpaceTrace tag if you suspect it is interfering with your medical device.
Cleaning
- To clean and disinfect the surface of the SpaceTrace tag use disinfecting wipes or sprays.
- Do not submerge a SpaceTrace tag in any liquid.
