Helpful Tips

Select a cooling solution that will cool your room or yourself faster and more efficiently. Be sure to turn them off when you’re not in the room.

• Wear short-sleeved, loose clothing and drink lots of water to help cool down.
• Draw your drapes, blinds, shades, and curtains (particularly on the north side of the house) which can keep heat from getting inside in the first place.
• Open the bathroom window when showering and keep the door closed to vent the heat and humidity outside, rather then back into the house.
• Turn off unnecessary heat-producing electronic appliances when you’re not using them.
